Having prebooked a room we were disgusted with what we were given: dark and smelly (couldn't work out the unusual but horrible smell); the air conditioning didn't work and was covered with dust. The second room they gave us was only better by degrees (still smelly). The air conditioning worked but not effectively and it was really loud and also dusty. The door lock had been prised. We politely asked twice for a phone line out as our mobiles didn't work, but each time we were asked to wait 15-20 minutes. Eventually we cut our losses and left and went to a hotel we had passed in our taxi that had looked good.

Located on Wilshire west of Korea town; not a bad place, nothing great - dated furniture - appears to have had recent bathroom remodel (no mold or gunk evident in sliding bathtub doors). Carpet looks like its been there since opening. Sort of noisy, and definitely squeeky floors. Would recommend for those on a budget.

The hotel was very average! The rooms were okay however the roof squeaked every time someone above walked around above us! Walls were very thin and we could hear outside noises such as talking. The two good things I can say about the rooms were the bathroom! These must have been updated along with the bed! It was extremely comfy and pleasant to sleep in! The owner or worker at the desk was also a little creepy - overly friendly! But overall an average stay in an okay area but quite pricey for what you get!

i just needed to stay in la one night and didn't want to fork out a lot of money. i came across Dunes Inn and thought i'd give it a shot.

there is nothing fancy about the hotel but the rooms were clean, the bathrooms are recently remodeled and it's located in a very nice area so i felt comfortable walking around in the evening.

i'd stay here again.
