Great location for walking to sites, driving short distances to Strip. Felt safe at this location. As in previous reviews: moderately decorated, basic breakfast offerings, clean and comfortable rooms. Could use updated carpeting. But the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, a good thing when in an unfamiliar area. Would refer them and return.

We stayed here for 3 nights and came back again for 1 more night at the end of our stay in October/November

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was well decorated, quiet and exactly what we were looking for.

The location is fantastic with easy walking distance to Hollywood Boulevard and around.

We'll be returning and happily stay here for every future visit.

I would give this a zero if I could.. I just don't understand how it has such good ratings. Not worth $100 p/n.

Firstly, the manager was the rudest attendant to ever serve me. We arrived at 11 and asked whether we could check in and were barked at "Where did you get that check-in is at 11? It is at 3 so come back at 3." We asked if we could leave our bags and were told "yes but there are no guarantees". After continous rudeness we decided to cancel our reservation and didn't even make it to see the rooms.

Additionally, while we were there we felt that the area was particularly rough and not safe for us to stay in. We felt very uncomfortable. The cashier was barricaded and only had a peep hole. The outside of this place looks like a forgotten old motel and to make matters worse as we were leaving we saw a person in handcuffs getting arrested by the police.

I must mention while we were looking for a new hotel, they manager changed his attitude and said we were now able to check in as a room had become available but it was too late. I just wanted to get out of there.

Perhaps we had a bad experience and too high expectations but to me the manager was beyond rude and I felt very uncomfortable in the area.

If you must stay in Hollywood, we saw Days Inn one block down the road which looked much better.

Not a great stay for us. Our first night of staying here we had kids partying near our room at all hours which kept us wide awake. The same night, someone kept trying to get into our room. We couldn't sleep we were so worried. The next night we had prank phone calls all through the night, and again we couldn't sleep. The management were nice enough, but they just didn't do anything about it. Because the door to your room is outdoors, we just felt unsafe the whole time we were there. Not recommended as a place to stay
