“The best kept secret in Los Angeles!”

I stayed at Villa Delle Stelle on and off for nearly two months while I was displaced from my home due to a plumbing flood. What a Godsend! I was lucky enough to get to experience several of their fabulous rooms. I never felt like I was living in a "hotel;" instead I felt like I had walked into my very own vacation home. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have everything you could possibly need....corkscrews, wine glasses, large salad mixing bowls, you name it, it's there.

I also found the owners and their employee to be incredibly gracious and welcoming. They went way up and beyond the call of duty to make a very difficult time in my life easier. Upon occasion a bottle of wine, gourmet cheese and crackers would show up in my room. They also provided a contact for a very reasonably priced and extremely talented masseuse.

I loved the place so much I suggested it to my boyfriend's daughter and her wedding party as a place to stay for their wedding weekend. I'm also looking forward to booking a few days in the near future for a little 'staycation' getaway.

Room Tip: My favorites were the Art Deco and Parisienne suites.

“gorgeous, great location”

we stayed in the art deco suite as a couple with three friends.

this was a fantastic urban oasis/hideaway in an amazing location. there are tons of awesome bars and restaurants a short stroll away and if you don't feel like eating out there is a trader joes a few small blocks away and a beautifully stocked kitchen in the apartment. twenty steps from the front door is a chicken and waffles place that we didn't end up going to but had lines of people going around the corner when we arrived and seemed to be always packed.

the ladies who manage the guesthouse gave us a few great recommends for places to eat.

the apartment is well stocked with a good size bathroom with tub and a separate toilet with powder room. there are two entrances so that the master bedroom can function as its own unit. you can see the hollywood sign clearly from the back steps.

the only potential issue we had here is that it was advertised as having a queen size bed in the master bedroom (which was great) and a double bed in the spare room. the double was in fact a single. there was one rollaway bed and so our fifth person ended up sleeping on the couch. that didn't really bother him and so it wasn't an issue for us but it definitely only sleeps four on proper "beds".

“this place was exactly what we wanted- it was great!”

my girlfriend and i were looking for an inexpensive and cute place to stay while in LA for my brothers art exhibition. Villa Delle Stelle was perfectly located just off sunset and THREE blocks from the farmers market. we stayed in 2 different rooms there- the cottage and neo classic, and both were super comfy and clean and well done. even the books on the bookshelves were neat! Not to mention, i left a sketchbook in one of the rooms by accident after i left, and the staff there (kristen i cant thank you enough) were kind and awesome in finding it and sending it to me. all in all, highly recommended.

“Querky”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 March 2011

We were only in LA for one night and chose Hotel Villa Delle Stelle for its location primarily. Although its off Sunset Boulevard, should you want to walk to the heart of Hollywood its quite a long way and walking back in the dark we did feel a little vulnerable. The hotel is in a very quiet pretty road and you have to look twice to make sure you're at the right place. Its more like a slightly tired b&b than a hotel but its spotlessly clean and having the facility of a kitchen I imagine would be great for some people.

I did particularly like the bed which was so high off the floor (but very comfy) you could imagine getting a nose bleed. It was fitted into a mirrored alcove with a huge ceiling fan above you. All very different and as I said 'querky'.

My one little moan was I wasn't quite prepared for a fast food truck to be parked up on the drive next to our window that night. This normally wouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't for the fact we were still trying to adjust to LA time and desperately needed sleep. The truck arrived about 9ish (i think) and then it was being cleaned out for about an hour which meant our room was lit up and we had some noise. So depending on your circumstances this may or may not be a hindrance.

“Good Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 February 2011

We stayed at this hotel because it was close to the Music Box where we were seeing a concert. We stayed in the Caribbean Suite. It was more than large enough for two people. This was an older cottage, but cozy. There is free parking, which is a plus in LA, but the parking space is quite small. Only small cars is allowed. We had a problem with the lock on our door and it was promptly taken care of. It was a clean place, but the outdoor furniture really needs to updated. They advertising an outside patio, but you wouldn't want to sit on the rusty chairs. There was another table & chairs in the front that were better, but all in all the outdoor furniture needs replacement. It was easy walking distance to the concert hall and to restaurants, which were our host gave us various recommendations. If you want to stay in this area of LA, this is a good place.
