My wife and I stayed one night at this charming hotel by the Los Angeles Airport, to catch a flight out of LAX to the Far East the next morning. We loved our beautifully appointed, spacious room, its convenient location, and the free shuttle bus service to/from the hotel/airport.
THE HOTEL
The hotel entrance/lobby are quite small, but comfortable and functional, with a food/beverage bar, and a small bistro bar. Our room is one of the recently rennovated: - spacious and beautifully appointed, inviting and comfortable. It also comes with free internet, both wired and wireless.
SERVICE:
- The bell/porter was very friendly, and helpful with luggages. The shuttle bus drivers were cheerful, humorous, and very helpful getting our luggages on/off the shuttle bus.
This hotel was excellent, EXCEPT FOR ONE BAD EXPERIENCE with the hotel check-in staff (only one on duty around 7:30pm that evening). He was disinterested and impersonal checking us in; non-responsive to our questions on hotel amenities - and talking on the phone before completing our check-in! We were the only guests at check in and he made us feel unwelcome. Fortunately, our bell/porter was very nice, who told us about the hotel amenities and the neighborhood area. The check-out staff (two) in the morning were cheerful and efficient, however.
- Overall, we like this hotel, especially its new room, FREE internet and free shuttle service.
