“A little noisy but not too bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2008

My fiance's band was playing a show in Hollywood (at the ROXY) and prices were too high next to the club so we stayed one night at this place which was still close enough. The freeway noise was constant since it's right next to the 101 but with the windows shut it was at least tolerable for me but I'm a heavy sleeper so someone else might have a problem with it. Other than that the rooms were clean and nice(one even had hardwood flooring!) Neighborhood didn't seem like the best place but with a group you should be ok.

“Dirt, cockroaches and noise - do you wish anything else?”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2008

Terrible experience.
The room smelly and dirty. Under the bad we found a lot of garbage including bottle of spirituose. It indicates the cleaning service - if any - is really not into such details... The bathroom looked like never cleaned.

As we stayed only for one night it would not be so dreadfull but once cockroaches started to run across the room it became just a nightmare.

Never seen anything like that.

Never ever gonna stay at this motel and strongly recommend you to avoid it anytime you are in LA.

“worst hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2007

Worst hotel I have ever seen.

I stayed in the hotel on 20, 21 and 25 in Dec, 2007.

I saw a complain even on the first day (20,Dec) when I was checking in: A room was open when the guest went out (he locked the door). The front desk explained that maybe the cleaning person forget to close the door after the room service.

Unfortunately I did not pay too much attention on it since I was thinking about to find a place to eat and shop. I went out with my GPS and had a dinner nearby (less than 2 hours for sure about 5pm to 7pm) at. The next morning after taking the breakfast in the hotel (first floor), I packed my luggage to go to the tourist site and found out my laptop and digital camera were gone. At the first thought, I had thought I was stolen in the morning. But finally found out they were gone in the previous night because my laptop, camera and GPS were put together but the GPS was not stolen. They take my laptop and camera on the first when I moved in but did not take my laptop case so that I even did not realize it was gone.

Furthermore, the service there is very poor too and the front desks are very rude. All the guests (mainly from China) in this hotel were arranged by the tourist agent (sea gull group) and they knew few about this hotel till moved in. I communicated with them, most of them were complaining the trip too.

Strongly recommend you not staying in this hotel
