“Great Location, Great Price”

I stayed at the Gershwin Hollywood during holiday. The location was wonderful and convient since it was right across the street from the metro that goes directly to Universal Studios and Downtown. I stayed in one of the renovated rooms on the top floor. It was super clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a very good bargin.

Awful. We were almost the only backpackers there. Most of the people are live-in residents and seemed to be mostly crackheads, pimps, etc. Someone banged on our door one night to sell us cocaine. It was also dirty. I mean filthy. I saw a cockraoh in the bathroom and the plastic blinds were origibally black but were covered in layers of what seemed like soot. The area is also very dangerous. The free breakfast was a slice of toast, but who'd touch it!!! Avoid like the plauge, unless you want to catch it!
