My boyfriend and I wanted to get away for a 2-day stay in LA. I had the points and wanted to save money for this mini-getaway so I chose the Econo Lodge in Hollywood. Good idea just not a good hotel.
The customer service from the front desk was almost non existent. The room was very cheap and the bathroom was ridiculous! The tile in the shower was decaying and peeling off and there wasn't even an outlet in the bathroom.
The bed was comfortable and I loved the firm pillows though.
I saw the housekeepers who I felt sorry for because they had to work at this hotel. My quick interaction with them was nice though.
I want my points back! :-(

I am seriously considering suing this place. I needed an inexpensive place to stay for one night in Hollywood, so I logged onto Hotwire and put in a bid. For $65 plus tax, I won this place. I really wish I could go back and do it all over again. If I had known that $65 plus tax plus $9 in parking was going to cost me so much in doctor visits, medication, and the extreme psychological torture of knowing that parasites are living under my skin and possibly infecting everything I wear and touch, I would have gladly spent $500 and stayed elsewhere. When I checked into the room, everything looked clean and respectable. Sure, it was shabby but there were fresh towels laid out and the sheets looked laundered. The sheets may have even been laundered, but evidently they were not washed or dried with heat because in the middle of the night during my one night stay there, I started scratching and have not stopped since. I will spare you the details of the disease, but just google "Scabies" if you really want to know what is in store for you if you stay at this motel. My whole life has been sidelined by this horrible, debilitating infection. If you care about your health and your quality of life, please DO NOT STAY HERE. Even if you booked this motel on priceline or hotwire and have already paid, DO NOT STAY HERE. Find another place to stay and just eat the lost money or try to get a refund from priceline or hotwire. Just do not stay here. I only wish I could go back in time and that someone could have warned me!

I would not recommend going to this hotel, they obviously don't keep it very clean if two people in our group got scabies. The hotel was okay looking cleanliness wise when we arrived, but we know now to not trust the sheets at all.

I knew staying in an Econo Lodge, I was going to be staying in a very basic motel. I had made the reservation well ahead of the day of my arrival, and I received a room with 2 queen beds instead of 1 king bed. I had to pay a service fee of $20 dollars and I asked what the fee was for since I didn't have a car to park, the employee told me that it was just a fee they charged. When I booked the room online, I thought the pictures that were posted looked like the rooms were fine, but in reality they are not. The room was one where you just wanna put the bedspreads on the floor to walk because the floor is kinda nasty. The bathroom tiles had about three different coats of paint on them....all different colors....LOL! That must be what they call renovations. Being in a ground floor room, I could hear the ceiling creaking alot, and pieces chipping away. Here is the best part......I was in the lobby sitting one afternoon and a man walked in and went to the front desk. He asked if they rented rooms by the hour. The employee at the counter told the man that it would be $50 cash. The guy paid the cash and got a keycard from the employee. I had actually only seen stuff like that in the movies, that was the first time seeing that in person. I think there is an employee there that is making some extra money on the side by renting the rooms by the hour and charging mysterious service fees.
