“Clean hotel but not in a good neighborhood”

I've stayed at this hotel a few times before switching to something nicer. The place looks like it used to be someone's house. The rooms are large and clean, but there are absolutely no amenities. No iron, no hair dryer, no alarm clock!

I have to say that the room reminded me of a scene in a movie where the police break down the door and arrest the fugitive or parole violator. Depressing.

The "breakfast" in the morning is not much more than cereal, muffins, juice and coffee.

I am sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction of our hotel. I would like to thank you as you mentioned you have stayed here a few times in the past. While the hotel is tucked into a residential area which most guests appreciate as it reduces the noise, the property was built as a hotel. I am glad you did apprecaite teh cleanliness and size of the rooms. In terms of our location, we are located in one of L.A's most expensive real estate markets just steps from Beverly Hills. All of our room have been remodeled with flat screen T.V.'s, new mattreses and new linens. While we are always looking to new ways to please our guests and we have added many things to our breakfast including eggs, vegetables, a variety of cheeses, bagels, hot and cold cereals. I see you stayed back in Decemeber of 2011 while you did not post your review until February of 2012.

The Wilshire Crest is a hidden gem in a prime location right in the middle of LA. The rooms are spacious and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts are plentiful. The Wilshire Crest is a great, small budget alternative if you're looking for a clean, comfortable and pleasant stay in Los Angeles.

My wife and two daughters stayed for a week Dec 25 2011 - Jan 01 2012. The hotel management (Aaron as well as front desk) was both professional and yet personable. Location excellent, nice neighborhood, hotel was clean, rooms big and beds comfy. Breakfast nice, kosher (non cholov yisroel but they got cholov yisroel for us). We definitely plan to be back in the future.

We really enjoyed this boutique style hotel immensely.The hotel owner Aaron and his manager Vickie were very personable and helpful.We loved the location and appearance of the Wilshire Crest and would definitely stay there again.Our room was very clean and comfortable and the bed was super comfy.
