Lovve this hotel for its location and great rooms. I stay here every time I come to LA. I usually walk everywhere and you don;t need to spend hundreds on cabs if u stay here!

Completely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting LA. The location in Hollywood is perfect, it really is only 5 minutes from the Hollywood Blvd and yet absolutely quiet. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, we paid a bit more for the view and it was well worth it. Decor is slightly faded, but the space made up for it (massive and comfy bed, by the way). Great pool, not heated but attractively landscaped and quiet. The short walk down to breakfast was no problem, and the choice of food available was good.

Wow, we just returned from California and what a great find the Hollywood Hills Hotel was. Safe neighborhood just steps off Hollywood Blvd and the Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theater, etc. A little tricky to find but well worth it. It is the sister to the Magic Castle Hotel and is up a steep hill which you can drive to and park with secure guaranteed parking, walk to, or get a shuttle ride up to. The Magic Castle Hotel itself is a little pricier but very nice looking with nice pool and apparently big suites. The Hollywood Hills Hotel is a step down in quality but still very decent. Really it is a bank of small apartments, some of which are still rented as apartments, some as rooms. Since it was a quarter mile up in the Hollywood Hills, the view was magnificent from our large balcony in the one bedroom suite. Kingsize bed, good size bathroom/double sinks, foldout double sofa, table/chairs, kitchenette with dishes, microwave, fridge, TV's in living room and bedroom. Not huge and not fancy, but homey and nice, everything working, clean, quiet and comfy. Then there is the staff. By far the nicest, friendliest, well informed staff I can ever remember. They will help you find things, get places, stay late, park easier, and just make your stay so much better. Complimentary sodas, snacks and candy are available - just ask and they fill a bag for you. They packed us a bag to take to Universal Studios and several times just to take up to the room. Hot cider and cookies in the lobby in the evening and nice continental breakfast in the morning. Check in, snacks, breakfast, free DVD loan are all done at the Magic Castle Hotel down the hill. MCH pool is heated and HHH is not, so we were invited to swim down there, as well. We did ask for a ride up the hill once and they couldn't have been nicer. Also, by staying there, you can attend a dinner show or brunch show at the Magic Castle, otherwise you have to be a Magic Castle Member (a magician!) Brunch is the only time kids can attend and coat/tie is not mandatory. The food and shows were fabulous and the hotel staff let us leave the car in their lot. Best staff ever encountered and love this place! Will try Magic Castle Hotel itself next opportunity.

After a lot of research on the internet my Son & I stayed here for 1 week at the beginning of our holiday then travelled to other parts of the US, then went back for another 4 nights towards the end of our holiday (Lisa had left a personal note, a bottle of drink & lollies to welcome us back- how sweet). This place is fantastic, the staff are amazing & very good looking (another bonus), the view is spectacular (I was in room 504), free snacks daily and a lovely free continental breakfast daily around the pool. Next time I'm in town I will stay here again. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay wonderful. I wish I was there right now!
