Desk clerk is sour, unfriendly. We only got one key, although there were two adults in our room. The one key would not stay magnetised for more than one swipe. Had to go back to the desk to have key remagnetised EVERY time we needed to get into our room.
There was no coffee available, no clock in the room. Phone was not functional; the volume was so low that one couldn't hear thru it and the volume wouldn't adjust. Two tiny bars of facial soap, no bath soap. Not even any shampoo.

I just thought it would be courteous to other travellers to point out that this location is located next to either a farm or a house which keeps chickens and roosters. I discovered this fact when awoken by the sound of a rooster repeatedly from 4:30 am to the time I finally decided to finally check out at 7:30 am. If you're a heavy sleeper, have a good set of earplugs or just don't mind that kind of noise, then it's not a terrible experience.
As other reviewers have noted, the area is kind of seedy and it's definitely in one of the ugliest parts of los angeles, but the rooms themselves are clean and the check-in staff are fine. But I can't see myself ever staying here again.

As a Motel 6 fan, I was willing to discount the first night we stayed their as a fluke, or just "Saturday night at a city motel". However, on the second night the motel security guard's look of resignation (and fear?) made it clear to me the first night was no accident. The motel is well kept, and the service staff were friendly and provided good Motel 6 quality service, but it is in a very noisy location attracting a seedy crowd.

A basic motel at a cheap price. This Motel 6 is located less that a block from the 405, near the Budweiser Head Office. The hotel has a bit of a seedy feel to it so it may not be the best for families, although for couples looking for a cheap night sleep while passing through L.A.
it might do the trick. There are a few restuarants nearby but that's about it. Not a place where I'd spent more than a night.
