Stayed here for 4 days in December we arrived to find the Hotel in darkness, a major storm the previous night had taken the power out over a wide area, the manager apologised profusely and offered to move us to their sister hotel -- we stayed and were very glad we did. Everything was perfect, a great individual hotel, a good continental breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff and a great location. The wine and cheese hour was a great idea, it allows the fellow guests to get to know one another, not a bit like the larger impersonal hotels you get in L A. Thoroughly recommended.
Just a couple of points, tea bags in the rooms would be great-- not everybody likes coffee especially us Brits! The rooms at the front are not the modern type of double glazed units, consequently as you are on the main Beverly blvd. traffic noise can be intrusive if you are a light sleeper.
