For our needs, Paloma Suites was perfect. Ditto all the reviews that's come before. Close by the beach to take early morning walks, but not right on the beach for less noise and foot traffic. Easy & secure parking, full-kitchen with outdoor patio & grill, flatscreen TV's with DVD players in each room, IPod stereo doc, and above all--CLEAN & MODERN. Paloma Suites even provided free Wi-Fi and domestic calls. This really was like staying at a good friend's home, with more privacy!

Location was easy to find and wonderful to be close to Santa Monica, with easy access to the I-10 (Santa Monica Freeway) to reach other parts of LA and I-405 for North or South of LA. For those who are concerned about the safety of the area--yes, there are homeless on the beach early mornings, this is part of the still truly bohemian nature of Venice Beach! They are the true locals & part of the community here. Along side the incredible million-dollar homes on the beach, this is a vibrant community made up of all different people living together.

Randy, the owner, was incredibly helpful, prompt and everything with our stay was super smooth. When we didn't seem to have any hot water one morning, Randy was at the door within 15mins to let us know that the problem was fixed. He was really a pleasure to work with and this made a big impact on our stay--particularly as we were traveling as a family and for several days.

Venice Paloma Suites is perfect for an independent couple or family who are looking for a down-to-earth LA beach experience.

If your going on holiday (vacation) in L.A. with family/friends/solo then you should consider this place at the top of your list.

The property is very secure with security gates. My party and I stayed in a two bedroom apartment which was very modern, spacious and clean. Kitchen utensils and clean towels were provided. The Suite had lovely contemporary decor with a cozy atmosphere. The living space and both bedrooms had flat screens televisions. Also there was an iPod docking station which came in very handy.

It is only a short two minute walk to Venice Beach, however Santa Monica is not a short distance- at least half an hour walk, which nevertheless is a must do due to the beautiful scenery.

I do however believe a car is a must when in L.A. as it is so vast. There is a free private car park available for your use at another sister property a few minutes away. We would of preferred if there was on-site car park but this was not a major issue.

All in all I would highly recommend this property and if visiting L.A. again I would definitely stay there as it is value for money.

We were looking for a beach location with great facilities, reasonably priced, modern accommodation and a service second to none. Venice Paloma, ticked all these boxes. We are a family of four and have been back here for the last 4 summers - we simply love the area, the accommodation and the modern airy feel of the apartments. The service provided by the staff, particularly Randy is second to none- nothing is too much trouble for him.
We love what Venice has to offer, the diverse culture, the beach, the market traders, the outdoor way of living. In fact we are moving to Los Angeles this Summer based on our wonderful experiences stopping in Venice.

Venice and Santa Monica have everything you need. We had a car but we used the Blue Line Bus (stop 5 mins from apartment) to get around Los Angeles - it was so easy. Restuarants everywhere - you are just simply spoilt for choice !

Whether you are a family, couple of single traveller, Paloma will give you everything you need, and more. Give it a shot, you will NOT be disappointed.

Myself, husband, & 2 sons (11 & 8 yo) stayed here for 3 nights last Oct 2009 (sorry for late review!) as the last few days of our 1-month US holiday. The apartment was beautifully appointed & spotlessly clean (bathroom was small, but immaculate). Location is great: a 2 minute walk to Venice beach - and what an unreal experience that was! A step back in time to the 1960's .... and contrary to some comments in TA, we did not feel the least bit threatened walking around in the evenings. Heaps of groovy restaurants & cafe's in easy walking distance. Long but beautiful walk to Santa Monica Pier - but definitely do-able (we did it twice with no problem!)... Easy to get (regular) buses to SM, Hollywood, or anywhere else. Randy was great - asked him to print out our Boarding passes, he happily obliged and dropped them off within the hour! Would definitely stay here again & recommend to anyone.
