We were going to the Price is Right and wanted to stay close to CBS. We saw the price of this hotel and booked thinking, "It can't be that bad." We were wrong. The room was not equipped for the four of us. It had two towels and a few wash rags. We called for more and were greeted unpleasantly by the front desk woman who was visibly irritated that we had asked for towels. That was just the beginning. Our sink had a rusty razor blade stuck in the drain. The towels that we recieved had hair on them from the previous users, and to top it all off, I woke up with a cockroach above my head in the morning. Needless to say we didn't stay more than one night. We had planned to stay 2 nights. The front desk woman did refund our second night.

Love to come to LA and stay close to Grove/Farmer's Market. Started off staying at The Farmer's Daughter, then prices went up. Found the Beverly Laurel Motor Motel and stayed there (see review). I was in a hurry and went to book what I thought was the afformentioned Motel, thinking boy their prices are just fantastic. As I was going down Beverly Blvd being guided by my GPS, she passed the Beverly Laurel and continued down Beverly Blvd until "Your destination is on the left"-The Beverly Inn. I suddenly realized my booking mistake. My husband and I decided to make the best of it. Here are the pluses:
1. Free Parking (We paid for overnight Parking at the Grove because spots are small for our 4WD and wasn't comfortable to park on street as suggested by front desk.
2.Walkable distance to The Grove Farmer's Mkt
3.Low Price

Having said that, I would not stay again. The room appeared clean but it was odd. For example the telephone was missing some of the push buttons and the wastebaskets were lined with grocery store plastic bags. We got in about 1030pm and heard a drip coming from the bathroom.. Looking up, it was apparent the upstairs room had a leak in the toliet area. My husband asked to change rooms (no one wants to be on the commode and be hit with a drip from the upstairs toliet). They did accomodate that, but who wants to change rooms at that time. Also, don't be seduced by the fact they have a pool. The pool is a std small kidney pool. But the odd thing is, is that it has a fence around it that starts at the edge of the pool and looks like a "Pool Prison". Outside of the fencing, there is no lounge chairs or anyplace to relax by the pool. They'd do better to turn the pool into a Koi pond and put plants around it. Cheap ,but for this budget traveler, not worth it.

We stayed at this motel with our 8month old child. We arrived in the evening and the hosts were very helpful in getting us and the baby settled. They semed a very nice, friendly and helpful family. We thought the rooms were very clean with all you would need and expect from a motel. Pricing was reasonable for the area, which is generally expensive. I have never left a hotel/motel review before but felt motivated to because I was pleasantly surprised.

It was a good value. The location was the reason why we booked this at hotel ) as it is right across the street from CBS studios. West Hollywood is not the best part of town. Saw many homeless people on the streets right by the hotel and overall did not feel very safe in the surroundings. The hotel just gave me the creeps. It needs to be updated. The furniture was old and the beds were uncomfortable. I couldn't wait to check out and would have left earlier if I didn't need to be close to the studio.
