Stayed for 4 nights and the room was large and clean. Great service. Hot breakfast in the mornings with eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, muffins, bagels, fruit, juice and coffee with a flat screen tv and access to internet and printer. Close to 605 freeway with access from Cerritos Blvd. The room was $89 a night through Expedia.

We found that Best Western Alamitos provides a good value with adequate accommodation at a low price. All the basics were well covered: the hotel was easily accessible from I-605, our room on the 3rd floor was large, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We got a good night's sleep without bothersome noises, although the swish of traffic could be heard. We appreciated having a light blanket on the bed rather than a super-heavy one so we didn't have to turn on the air conditioner in December to keep from waking up in a sweat. Everything in the room worked well from the microwave and refrigerator to hair dryer and wi-fi. We could use both LAN and wi-fi in the room, and the signal was always good for both of our computers.

There were some minor glitches. The complimentary buffet breakfast is available from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. The scrambled eggs were all gone by the time we arrived at 9 and not refilled. When we checked out at 10:45, we had to carry our bags down the stairs from the third floor because the maids' trolleys block the narrow walkways to the elevator on the second and third floor. The parking spaces are quite narrow, but there is adequate parking. There were a lot of guests staying overnight on Christmas Eve--the place is popular.

This is a clean and efficient hotel for travelers who want a comfortable, yet economical stay in Los Alamitos. There are lots of restaurants nearby (our favorite was Polly's on Katella).

This Best Western fit the bill for what we needed while visiting family in the area. Check-in staff was friendly and quick; the room was very clean, roomy, recently renovated and a great value for the money we paid. The only thing lacking was a lounge chair in the room; they hav ethe straight backed chairs at the desk. The breakfast was decent and they tried to vary it a bit each morning. The coffee was awesome. We were lucky to get a room that faced the small pool area so we could avoid the "motel" feel. Some other rooms opened onto the parking lot. The hardest part of the entire experience was getting the best rate; the hotel staff quoted a higher rate than the toll-free agents. The $60/nt savings was worth the hassle. The pictures on their website are exactly how the property looks.

Excellent front desk staff. I stayed in the back of building is away from power station which is right next door (Yuck!). Nice comforter, nice sheets, nice pillows. Lots of mirrors in the room. Big desk, chest of drawers, etc. Sliding closet door which are mirrored (huge-like 5 feet wide!). Nice shower with changeable spray head. Bathroom counter is nice and has shelving under it for more space. Free internet. OK Pool and VERY GOOD tucked away in corner Jacuzzi. Parking is tight-must be rough if you have a big car! I didn’t eat here but they serve a breakfast that looked so-so; hash browns, muffins, eggs, sausage; apples bananas, oranges. Custom coffee maker. Nearby schools, beware if you need to travel in this area between 7:15-8:00am or 3pm. There are nearby fast food eateries. Bad basic remote with no ‘last’ or ‘menu’ selection-you can only change channels by going ‘plus’ or ‘minus’, one channel at a time. there was a hole in the window screen. Lights 'cycle' settings so you have to go through bright bedside light before you get to lower one!
