Excellent front desk staff. I stayed in the back of building is away from power station which is right next door (Yuck!). Nice comforter, nice sheets, nice pillows. Lots of mirrors in the room. Big desk, chest of drawers, etc. Sliding closet door which are mirrored (huge-like 5 feet wide!). Nice shower with changeable spray head. Bathroom counter is nice and has shelving under it for more space. Free internet. OK Pool and VERY GOOD tucked away in corner Jacuzzi. Parking is tight-must be rough if you have a big car! I didn’t eat here but they serve a breakfast that looked so-so; hash browns, muffins, eggs, sausage; apples bananas, oranges. Custom coffee maker. Nearby schools, beware if you need to travel in this area between 7:15-8:00am or 3pm. There are nearby fast food eateries. Bad basic remote with no ‘last’ or ‘menu’ selection-you can only change channels by going ‘plus’ or ‘minus’, one channel at a time. there was a hole in the window screen. Lights 'cycle' settings so you have to go through bright bedside light before you get to lower one!

This is a great place to stay if you are checking out Cal State U Long Beach. It is 10 minutes away and very convenient.
Check-in was fast and efficient - and they were pleasant despite the hour when we came in - midnight.
The room was big enough, very clean, and the area felt safe.
The complimentary hot breakfast was good, and there are a number of restaurants in the area for lunch or dinner, without having to drive.
Overall, with the AAA discount this hotel was well worth just under $100.00.
Also, we forgot a personal item, and they sent it to us right away!

The checkin was fast, friendly and easy. No problems they had everything correct. And can you believe a hotel that actually cares about their handicapped guests. The room was the first one right next to the office to make easy access for the breakfast and if you needed help. (most hotels stick the handicap in a back corner like we are something they should hide).
Bed was very comfortable and it looked like they had just redecorated and painted. Everything was fresh and clean and I've never seen such nice rich looking furniture in a Best Western. The manager and owners here deserve alot of credit.
Location was easy access to business and tourist attractions, plus plenty of resturants closeby like Sizzler.

I was with a grand total of 4 kids and 3 adults. We were in Long Beach for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. The rooms were huge and the closets were rather large as well. They placed us next to each other which worked out well for the kids. No connecting rooms though. The pool was cold but that was alright for the kids. The hot tub was not very hot which was great because it did not fatigue us too quickly. No restaurant on site, but enough to choose from within walking distance. I do not post usually about stuff like this, but this was nice for the price considering the number of kids we had to keep track of. The rooms were clean, parking was good, water was hot and the staff friendly.
