“Nice newly renovated room!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

Stayed in a very newly renovated room (even had that new room smell). Room was smartly decorated, had very nice chairs and furniture, and the bathroom was great. The hotel will be under renovation until March. I was one floor from renovations but didn't.t hear any noise until after 9a.
If you have events at the Convention Center, there is no better nor closer place to stay. Also was walking distance to loa of bars and nearby restaurants.

“Best location for the convention center”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

The Hyatt Regency Long Beach is connected to the only hotel directly connected to the Long Beach Connection Center. The property is undergoing renovation. It was indicated on the Hyatt Website prior to booking. I was still a little disappointed to not have the gym available, but overall I was happy with the rooms, the Hyatt Club and the overall facility.

I was pleased to see it was easy to charge your computer, cell phone, I-Pad . You did not have to crawl under the bed to find an electric plug. Everything was available right on the desk. The hotel was Mac Ready when it comes to using a MAC charger.

The internet connection was very fast, fast, but I had to ask the help desk to allow my own server settings when sending emails.

The breakfast in the Hyatt Club was acceptable. I always wonder why Hyatt is offering free continental breakfast for Diamond member in the club room, but doesn't allow a discount instead for the more complete buffet in the restaurant?

The mostly Philippine staff was very friendly and professional.
Valet parking was efficient and for $20.00/ night reasonable.
I enjoyed the many restaurants, night clubs and establishments in the immediate walking distance.

Room Tip: Ask for a newly renovated room.

“Best located Hotel in Long Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

This hotel is right next to the convention center, restaurants, the pier, the aquariam everything is close and in walking distance. It has lovely views of the harbor area. If you upgrade to the 16th floor you get wonderful daily snacks, a good sized continental breakfast, drinks in the afternoon for a nominal charge for the beer and wine, newspapers, magazines and a nice TV lounge area. I did not eat at the hotel restaurant, but the bar area has plenty of plasma TV's and a good selection of beer on tap. The rooms are with lovely views at night if you get up at the foot of the bed lights up with a night light they even give you toothpaste what hotel does that. This is recommended for your Long Beach stay.

Room Tip: I loved Room 1629...

“Very nice hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

We stayed here as part of a yellow ribbon ceremony in January; it was wonderful. We arrived and did not have a reservation due to misunderstanding with my the command. Greg at the desk helped us out with check in and was a very friendly and helpful in getting us the best rate available. He informed us of renovations that were going on which we barely noticed; and gave us the necessary information we requested about the military affair we were there to attend. We would stay at this hotel again if ever in the Long Beach area; it was located within reach of shopping, dinning, convention center, and beach with wonderful views. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the service personal were awesome. Great hotel!!!
