When you drive up to this place it looks nice however if you dont stay in one of the most expensive rooms it turns bad quick. They put you in the back where it just looks shady, the beds feel like you are sleeping on a board, the heating/ air conditioning unit is loud and the rooms are small and not very clean. Dont waste your money

Recently stayed at the Hotel Current, and it's a great hotel. We were only originally planning to stay 1 night, but ended up booking another night whilst I was there as it was very comfortable! Make sure you book a lifestyle room (only a little extra cost) as they have recently been refurbished and are very tastefully done. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, great showers, big TV with lots of channels, exceptionally clean. Our room was close to the road which is the Pacific Highway and can be quite noisy in the mornings, but is nothing that ear plugs can't handle! The pool area is nicely done with loungers and chairs dotted about. The pool is heated and piped chillout music plays. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. A complimentary courtesy bus is on hand to ferry you around the local area (5 mile radius) which we made use of. Drive to shoreline village in 5-10mins. Continental breakfast was also very good. Two waffle machines where you can help yourself, cereals, toast, juice, tea/coffee etc. Ample free parking. There are a few restaurants next door which looked very good and have good reviews but we did not try. Ignore previous reviews about the local area being dodgy - it is not at all! Overall, a great stay.

Had a very nice stay at Hotel Current over the Holiday. The staff was amazing and we were given a room upgrade upon check in. The bed was very comfortable and bedding was crisp and clean.We loved the fresh waffles for breakfast every morning before heading out for our activities.
The location was perfect and having the Brazilian Steakhouse in walking distance right next door to the hotel was even nicer. We ate there two nights and sure got our fill.
Would not hesitate on staying at Hotel Current again!

We flew into Longbeach a day early for a cruise we did the snooze-n-cruise there. Their free shuttle came to the airport picked us up ( a little inconvenient we had to wait about an hour) but hey the shuttle was FREE. Next day they took us to the port, the shuttle couldn't leave until 1:00pm so they let us hang out in our room until we left. When our 2-week cruise was over they came and got us at the port then drove us to longbeach airport, nice huh, did I mention the shuttle was FREE. Rooms were dated but clean, staff was very friendly & accommodating. Only complaint (there's always one isn't there :) ) Hotel is on a very busy road so it was a little noisey. So if you can handle a little noise and having to make arrangements for the shuttle and be willing to wait a little then it's well worth the money.
