Hi all i spent 3weeks at the vagabond inn long beach and found it very clean and all the staff pleasent. The room was cleaned daily and bed made overall a very pleasent experience

Stayed at the Vagabond for six nights while attending a convention at the Convention Center. I found the staff universally pleasant for a budget hotel. In fact i would say they were well above average for a value priced hotel.
The location was great as it was only a ten minute walk to the Center and to most food places too.
The parking was ok for me but I was there in February so the hotel may not have been that busy. The continental breakfast was a continental breakfast. I wasn't expecting a buffet so it worked for me.
The room was clean and the maid service very good. I had no issues with noise or room temperature comfort.
Would definitely recommend it to those who know that you get what you pay for. I would say considering the location and service one will get more than what you will pay.

I have been to other Vagabond Inns and have had great value - not the case here. Old worn, and dirty.

I stayed one night at the Convention Center Vagabond inn due to a Convention in Long Beach. I could handle this place for one night. The motel 6 we stayed at on the previous night blew this place away (and that wasnt all that nice), but it was also 1/2 the price of this place. Overall, the room was ok. The bathroom is where this place really gets dinged. It looks like they have not refurbished the bathroom since the 70s. Stick on (cracking) vinyl floor tiles, and mold growing in the bathroom, with old fixtures, and a shower that had "extra" controls that were no longer being used. Stains in the tub.. IF the managment went thru and refurbed the bathrooms in every room, and cleaned the carpets more often, this would be a nice place. The neighborhood is "rough" in the area behind the hotel, so I reccomend you park in the "front" of the hotel and not in the back. In addition, the security at the hotel was a "farce" although outside doors should have required keys to enter, many were left open, or you could pull them open without a key. I even believe I saw local people "cut" thru the hotel after a night of partying..
