This place can only be described as a dump. For $70, I would expect far better than filthy bathrooms and threadbare towels. Belmont Shores is to be avoided at all costs.

I wasn't expecting much from the price, but this was just sad. The place was dirty. It wasn't even clean. I thought it would be fine based on the positive review of this property, but I must say that I was unimpressed. I mean, the room was literally DIRTY.

This was apparently an old apartment complex that was converted to a motel. The rooms have a small kitchenette with a fridge. The bathrooms are just scary when it comes to dirt. Don't look in the shower/tub, because you will find years of grime there. There are no phones in the rooms (not that you need them these days). With some money and renovations, this place could be really nice. Unfortunately, I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

If you're looking for a cheap place in the area, try one of the auction sites and put in a bid for a $50 hotel. You'll be MUCH happier!

My girlfriend and I stayed here last night. We had a reservation at the Colonial Motel in Long Beach, but were disgusted with its poor condition. We checked out about a half-hour after arriving and drove south on Ocean Boulevard toward Second Street where we found this small property. The Belmont Shore Motel was cute and clean. Not the Bellagio, mind you, but quiet, quaint and comfortable - plus a convenient location. What's more, the owners were nice. I would stay there again.
