I stayed 3 nights and 4 days. The people at the Westin were great! Very helpful, tried hard to please the guests. In fact, I did not run into anyone here who was not excellent, from the front desk to the concierge to the servers to housekeeping. The hotel looks like it was remodeled about ten years ago and the rooms are clean, but I was surprised to see my bathroom had peeling paint on the ceiling, rusting shower curtain bar, and mold around the bath tub. The rest of the room was good. Then there was the uncooked chicken I was served at the conference, and then there were the two mornings we went without hot water. Tv reception was poor and the fitness room was way too small for such a big hotel with only one elliptical, one recumbent bike, and 4 treadmills. The pool was a fantastic outdoor pool, the hot tub was closed. Overall, I felt like the staff are really doing a great job and are trying hard, but I also feel the hotel has not had enough invested in the physical structure and maintenance. It's a catch 22 bc this hotel probably needs more business to have the money to improve it, and they likely won't get a lot of conferences without investing the money. Westin corporate, how about helping this one out?
