“STMA Conference”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

The Westin Hotel in Long Beach is one of the finest hotels I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. he rooms were great and the entire staff was friendly and very professional, they made the stay extremely pleasant.

Dining in the Grill Restaurant was unbelievable. Their food was THE BEST hotel food I have ever eaten. Their morning breakfast buffet was plentiful and had THE BEST sausage I have ever eaten.

Their Hamburgers were absolutely one of the finest I have had anywhere. I would give their Hotel food a ten Star rating on a five star scale.

Room Tip: Their beds are so comfortable not sure a special room is needed.

“Highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

I don't usually write reviews, but after staying at the Westin Long Beach for 4 nights on a business trip, I wanted to highly recommend this hotel. It's customer service may have been the best that I've experienced. From the hotel restaurant staff to the reservation desk everyone was welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are neat and clean and the hotel is in great location. We were able to walk to lots of nearby restaurants, attractions and public transportation. (The city of Long Beach runs a free shuttle to area attractions.) But most importantly, the hotel is next door to a fabulous restaurant you must try if in the area - we had crepes for breakfast, lunch and dinner at La creme de la crepe!

“Nice people, structure needs investment”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012 via mobile

I stayed 3 nights and 4 days. The people at the Westin were great! Very helpful, tried hard to please the guests. In fact, I did not run into anyone here who was not excellent, from the front desk to the concierge to the servers to housekeeping. The hotel looks like it was remodeled about ten years ago and the rooms are clean, but I was surprised to see my bathroom had peeling paint on the ceiling, rusting shower curtain bar, and mold around the bath tub. The rest of the room was good. Then there was the uncooked chicken I was served at the conference, and then there were the two mornings we went without hot water. Tv reception was poor and the fitness room was way too small for such a big hotel with only one elliptical, one recumbent bike, and 4 treadmills. The pool was a fantastic outdoor pool, the hot tub was closed. Overall, I felt like the staff are really doing a great job and are trying hard, but I also feel the hotel has not had enough invested in the physical structure and maintenance. It's a catch 22 bc this hotel probably needs more business to have the money to improve it, and they likely won't get a lot of conferences without investing the money. Westin corporate, how about helping this one out?

“Westin Long Beach Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Recently I had a business trip in Long Beach California. I can honestly boast about the Westin Long Beach hotel.
From my arrival to (even) calling the hotel operator..(She made me feel like I was her favorite person) this was
A perfect choice for my trip. I will always stay at the Westin in LB.. Not to mention, they have started a re-model..
And the rooms are very warm and stylish.

Can’t forget the front desk staff. Very courteous and professional.

When in Long Beach.. THE WESTIN LONG BEACH is the place to stay..

Room Tip: try to get a room facing Ocean Blvd..

“Unbeatable Customer Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

The managers are just wonderful, and have provided excellent, above and beyond service to me over the years. The night manager specifically has gone out of her way to accommodate guests that are up late and need something. Although the hotel itself is beautiful, luxurious, and ideally situated for conferences, the attitude that the managers exhibit, that they are not present to enforce rules but rather to ensure that each guest has an optimal experience, is why I keep coming back.

Room Tip: I stayed in the King Suite during my last visit, and could not be happier.

Thank you for sharing your experience! The hotel is definitely ideal for conferences and meetings as we have over 30,000 square feet of meeting space - including a ballroom to seat 1,000 guests! Of course as you have mentioned, the service experience brings out the best in our property. See you again soon. Be Well.
