We stay here twice a year...traveling between our homes in AZ and CA and have always enjoyed our stay...but what a nice surprise this trip...newly renovated room!!! The motel has always been clean....but it was getting a little "tired" and needed some work and things are so much nicer now!!! Glad they got rid of the bedspread...outdated and not necessary and new towels are ones you can actually dry with! New lamps and I believe new wallpaper and paint...and new sheers and drapes...it was a pleasure staying in the "new" Susan Hayward room! Hope they continue with the renovating...it makes all the difference in the world!!! Staff always pleasant and helpful..nice people! My only concern...we have a dog and the place we can walk her (in an adjoining field...thru a gate) is completely COVERED in dog waste...not healthy for dogs or people. Not sure if BW has any control over that field...but it should be plowed up and cleaned up. I always make sure to wash her paws before she comes into the room...don't want her carrying in any bacteria...not good for her or the room!!

We stayed in the single level section, with a parking place in front of our door. I love this! We had a dog with us so we stayed in a pet friendly room. No problem. The room was large, quiet, clean, and had a comfortable bed. We were happy campers! This isn't a luxert hotel, but it certainly has excellent value.

Best Western Frontier Motel in Lone Pine has been remodeled and all rooms are furnished nicely. An important feature for me staying there has always been the quality rooms and management, while located in the scenic Owens Valley. It makes a great "home base" for exploring the many sights and scenic attractions of the Eastern Sierra. This hotel enables you to explore the rural environment without having to "rough it" in a poor quality hotel. They even have rooms with jacuzzis and the breakfast is well done and included.

We recently added a dog to our family, so a hotel/motel being "Pet Friendly" is now a must. The Frontier Motel has great dog rooms with a second door to an outdoor patio. They did not charge extra for having a pet, as many other hotels do. The room was also very clean! So, if you have a pet, this is a great place to stay while visiting the Eastern Sierra!

Older motel but best linens and comp. breakfast of our 10-day, 3,000 mile road-tripping vacation. The breakfast included flavored creamers and sugar-free syrup (only time either were available the entire trip) and good assortment of food items. Perfect place to see Mt. Whitney & the Alabama Hills with all its history. Loved all the locals & fellow travelers we met but most especially the front desk rep, Emily Knox. She was the crown jewel of our entire trip! Immediately felt like we were family. Couldn't tell us enough about what to see and do in the area. She could give lessons on how to make guests feel appreciated. Absolute sweetheart!!! Would recommend highly if you want helpful staff, clean, crisp sheets, comfy bed, quiet night, full breakfast, nice view, and close to home-cooking restaurants. If you stop, say hi to Emily & give her a rose from us!!
