My husband had a business meeting in Modesto - so we were looking for someplace worth visiting nearby. Wine and Roses had great reviews - and we were very, very impressed. Once we arrived, we didn't leave... The room was huge and lovely. The spa - excellent. The grounds were lush. The restaurant was fabulous - food, ambiance and incredible service. We met one of the owners - who treated us like royalty. In all honesty - our experience was magical. Like a mini Napa without the massive price tag. We would return tomorrow.

We spent 3 wonderful nights at this hotel for a wedding. We stayed in a very clean and comfortable king room complete with a beautiful balcony. The giant tub, separate vanity area, Aveda Toiletries, and ample outlets made getting ready for the wedding a breeze. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was virtually sound proof so we woke up each morning feeling very refreshed. The only glitch with our stay was that around midnight on our 2nd night, I noticed that some ants had discovered food wrappers in the bathroom trash can. Ants are a reality in that part of California, but I was impressed with how quickly and efficiently the hotel staff remedied the problem. I called the front desk and the helpful employee immediately arranged for us to move to an identical room across the court yard. The new keys were brought to us less than 5 minutes later and they even volunteered to help us pack up and move.
We were very impressed with all the hotel amenities! We are very athletic so we got a lot of use out of the workout facilities. The equipment was all state of the art complete with individual television sets attached to the cardio equipment. Towels and disinfecting wipes were provided which was nice. We also enjoyed the pool and the fluffy beach towels that were available for our use. The wedding itself was on the hotel grounds and it was absolutely gorgeous! The bride and groom got the all-inclusive package with the hotel and received outstanding food, wine, and servers at a very reasonable price.

This was my second visit to the Spa at Wine & Roses. The spa is immaculate. Service, from the moment you walk through the front door, is fantastic. The plunge pool and outdoor area are nice and well-shaded, a perfect place to lie out while waiting for your attendant to find you. The lounge area is relaxing as well, with large cushy chairs to wait in as well.

We had the ultimate treatment package, which included a body scrub, massage, and body wrap. It was the best spa service I have ever had. Debra was very professional, and did a wonderful job.

We will definitely be back again!

We had a very large suite. Only can fault it for being "dark". Great service as we had to call down for drinks. The restaurant is excellent. We had dinner there every night.
