Passing through on the Mendocino Coast and came across the most wonderful find. Little pieces of paradise in creatively fun units. We stayed in READ (each of the units has a creative theme) and it was a book lovers dream. The room is filled with everything to do with books and libraries. They even had a set of young adult books we grew up with from the 60's! Our cottage was attached to another unit but you wouldn't know anyone else was there. Kate our innkeeper was terrific. She made us feel so welcomed and had the room all ready with such a wonderful ambiance (lights just right and music playing) as we walked in to the room. The bed was so comfortable that you just wanted to curl up and read a book all day! Also the fireplace made the space cozy. There is a full kitchen unit in the room. The goats Peanut Butter and Jelly make for great pictures and entertainment! The Inn is located just south of Van Damme State Park (don't miss the pygmy forest!)

Stayed here in May 2011 for our 20th wedding anniversary. There was wine and a personal note in the room. The innkeepers are extremely helpful, replying personally and timely to emails during the trip planning, and offering excellent suggestions while on property. The rooms are fun, fun, fun!! Two to a building, all with ocean views. They have the cutest hot tub set in the woods down a path strung with lights. At the time we were there, they had 2 greyhounds that happily let you pet them if you were missing your own pets at home (next time we will bring our dogs). I understand they have acquired a couple of other animals (not including the deer, squirrels, and birds that populate the property) :)

Love staying here. Great Inn Keepers. Fun and interesting rooms.

We had a very good experience here. The owners were friendly and accommodating, giving us directions to a fantastic hike along the coastal cliffs. The fondue welcome in the evening and the toast bar in the morning were great. The cabins were very quirky (in a good way). Definitely coming back.
