Our family of 3 stayed here for 1 night, a stop over heading to Yosemite. Lee Vining is a tiny town. We got a 2 queen room for the night. The room was clean and spacious. The beds ended up being very comfortable. Much more so than our Reno hotel beds. The room has a rather large bathroom, along with another sink just off the bedroom area. It had a microwave and refrigerator. Wifi worked great. The 2 young women at check in were very busy and tended to us in short order. They were both great and one of the young women talked to us for quite a while about Volleyball. As we were coming from Reno and the Junior National VB Championships and she had coached VB. We had to leave too early the next morning to check out the coffee house, but I bet it was very nice. We ate at a nice restaurant a few doors down and bought a few things at the grocery store. (Also a few doors down from the Lodge.) Hint: If you need a quick bite to eat for an early breakfast, buy a couple burritos from the grocery store, keep them chilled in your rooms refrigerator, then microwave them for breakfast. They are made at the grocery store, are huge, and taste great. If you need something to do while you are in town, check on the Mono Lake walking...Our family of 3 stayed here for 1 night, a stop over heading to Yosemite. Lee Vining is a tiny town. They have guided walking tours a couple of times a day. We went on the 1 1/2 tour at 6pm and it was fascinating. And free! We really would have liked the Lake View Lodge even more, but it was so darn expensive. I am not sure if we would stay there again, for that reason only. Other than the price, it was a great place to stay for our family.More
