This was the most expensive (per night) stay on our 1500 mile road trip and chosen because of its proximity to Moro Lake and the start of the Tioga Pass and it was the worst value. The place is shabby, cheaply constructed and offers few facilities for the guests. The photos on the website are VERY flattering!
Check-in was literaly, 'Here's the key, the room's over there.' That was our greeting. The room with two queen beds did have a view of the lake - just! At least our room was not at the side of the very busy road as some are. Make sure that you check and avoid these.
The bed covers were a dark maroon satiny affair. I'm sorry but I like my bedding to be light coloured so that I can SEE that it is clean. Anything else is rather unsavoury. In addition, the sheets were un-ironed. Not acceptable.
The room and the (very small) bathroom were clean.
There WAS free wi-fi but there was no fridge, hair dryer, ironing board or iron nor a safe.
WE chose to stay here, nobody forced us, and accommodation is limited in the area, but it was a disappointing experience given the high standards of hospitality and facilities we have found everywhere else in the U.S.
Nicely's across the road was a friendly place to eat.
