If you are sensitive to smells, don't stay here. The room had a bad odor. They had a few nice ammenities, like popcorn to enjoy with your movie if you happened to bring a VHS movie to watch on the 14" screen. Free breakfast, not great, just some cold donuts and cereal. These did not in any way make up for the shoddy outdated room. Must have had the same decor since the 70's (I mean the same bedspread, etc.) Close to railroad tracks, so if train whistles wake you up, forget it. Yuck, couldn't wait to get out of there.

We arrived at the Inn of Lancaster early in the evening. The hotel staff were extremely helpful with directions and places to go in town. The room was large and extremely clean. The internet was free and I had a good connection. The bed was confortable. The night was chilly but the pool was heated. Everyday the room was cleaned to perfection and restocked with coffee, hot chocolate, popcorn and just a few things that added such a nice touch. Breakfast was great and consisted of fresh fruit, hot/cold cereal, pastries, Bagels w/cream cheese, English Muffins etc...We stayed 3 nights therefore having the opportunity to meet some of the other guests at breakfast. Very interesting conversations as most were working at nearby Edwards Air Force Base or Plant 42. I highly recommend this hotel.

Trains travelling by honk throughout the night. I called on our way into town and reserved a room by dialing the wrong number. When we arrived, we tried to cancel, but they would not allow us to cancel. Stuck, we shared the hotel, with construction workers who were obviously booked their by the company's owners. The free breakfast included hostess donuts arranged on a tray, plus cold cereals. The bathroom included knobs that rotated 360 degrees, so you had to choose the right position to make the water turn off. What more can I say. I would never stay here again.

Glad we spent an evening in Lancaster on our way up to Portland. Older property but well kept. Clean, inviting and quiet. Even HDTVs in the rooms with local off the air digital HD channels! We recommend this property to all travelers.
