Rooms overlook the South Course 18th fairway. Excellent views of Torrey Pines and Ocean. Very nice hotel. Pay for the upgrade to the end room suites for large patio with outside tables and umbrella for wonderful views of tourney from your private patio. We moved during our stay and both rooms were fantastic. Golfer's paradise.

La Jolla is one of the most beautiful spots in California and the Torrey Pines area is breathtaking. Tbe Hilton at Torrey Pines has beautiful grounds and stunning views from the lobby and pool deck. The restaurant is nothing spectacular and there is no view from the dinning room. The decor doesn't even make you think “ocean" or Southern California. The rooms are a nice size and the beds are very comfortable. I expected a little bit more of a luxury feel for this location. The Lodge at Torrey Pines next door is where we ate and spent most of our time. It is a definite luxury resort and worth the high room rate. You get what you pay for at the Hilton.

I stayed here with my husband and 3 month old for a wedding in mid January. The property is beautiful and I must say the staff was just great. They were so friendly and helpful the entire time we were there. The rooms were quiet, my son was able to nap at any time without being disturbed by noise from outside our room. The only con I have is that depending on where your room location is you could be doing a lot of walking, we weren't close to the elevator at all and it was a haul to and from the car and when your baby is sleeping you want to get to your room quickly, so if that matters request a room without such a far walk. My other con is that the rooms do not have a mini fridge, I just think a hotel that you are paying this much for should have a mini-fridge and not make you pay extra for it!!! I will say I was impressed that we didn't have a single issue when we checked in, we got there super late, our room was ready and the crib was already set up as requested. They are very good at accommodating your needs and they gave us free late check out because we didn't sleep much due to our room being a bit warm the last night and our son woke up several times because of it, otherwise they will charge you for late checkout, so consider that if you have a late flight. Also it isn't close to much, we thought breakfast was a bit overpriced and since we were there for 4 days we opted to venture out for fast food breakfast, but it wasn't down the street, thankfully we had GPS. Over all I was very happy, the wedding was beautiful and our stay was enjoyable.

I didn't realize that I would be staying right on the South Course at Torrey Pines. The views were spectacular. The layout of the hotel is different because of how it sits into the cliffs, but the rooms all look onto courtyards. I was attending for a conference that was the same week as a PGA event at the course. The hotel was busy, but service never faltered. The rooms are spacious and well appointed.
