have been staying here for almost 8 years...and i love the beach! the hotel is tired and old but that is good and bad. the rooms are huge, you get a fridge, and did i mention the view???

staff has always been great.....parking is handy if expensive (it is the beach) and the restaurant is always amazing in the view and great in the food.

the good rates i have been getting have been disappearing but when i can afford it, i will stay here! wonderful for families because of the beach and pool etc...enjoy!

Beautiful setting right on the beach. The food is good. Beds are comfortable. Nice amenities. Room was a little drafty and I could hear the people next door pretty clearly but overall, The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Overall good hotel, but a bit dated! The rooms are a little tired, but the great service and the bar/restaurant make up for it. THE LOCATION CAN'T BE BEAT!
We were given a garden view room, but we still had a great view of the beach and an nice size balcony.

Drinks at the bar take on a whole new meaning when looking into the ocean! Beautiful. The food is great, and the service there is personal. Can't remember the server's name, but she remembered us and all of our drink/food preferences! Nice touch.

Would stay here again.

Amazing views and right on the beach, I loved my room, the pool, the price, the wireless internet and the restaurant. I'm in La Jolla on business at Scripps Institution of Oceanography (just up the beach) and I *love* this hotel. The pool and hot tub are in a beautiful courtyard with access onto the beach, but the desk and high-speed free wireless service in my room mean that I can get my work done too. Plus, the room service and restaurant are delicious. I can't wait to bring the whole family!
