We stayed one night in boulder lodge while travelling from Reno to Yosemite. We had a lovely veiw of the lake but that was about the only good thing to be said for it. It was very expensive. The rooms are pretty basic and certainly not worth it. It also had a pool that was the coldest pool I have ever been in!!

Yosemite hotels full so had to resort to an alternative and were referred to this place by a hotel in an neighbouring village. We are a family of four and were given a large apartment for USD 165. Perahps we should have taken lake view for a bi tunder USD 200, but as we were only staying the night we went for the cheaper deal. Apartment was quite large and filled with furniture of at least 50 years old. That was valid for the carpet as well. As far as we could tell, no cleaning had taken place, certainly not under the beds were a lot of dust had accumulated. Opening the window was not a good idea as it opened up to the house of the owners of the place who made a lot of noise until well after midnight. We all woke up with massive headaches, dumped the key at reception and were out of there, never to be seen again.

Boulder Lodge is a long time family favorite. It is a bit funky and not fancy, but it is such a great place to stay with the kids. Its right over the lake, love the pool and hot tub, easy walk into town and we always get the room with a kitchen which is great. And the staff is super nice. We love it.

This is the most over-priced, dirty, dingy, unkempt motel we have ever stayed at. The screens did not fit the windows so the bugs could not be kept out. The decor was late 1940's and worn out. The room deodorizer was so strong we had a headache when we let after one night. It was probably to cover the pet smells or whatever else may have caused those stains on the carpet. The only redeeming quality was the balcony overlooking the lake. Oh, and when we left they asked if we had done the dishes!! They had forgotten to ask for the usual $50 kitchen deposit. Unbelievable!! Even Motel 6 provides glasses and you don't have to wash them.
