The rooms facing east are bigger and pretty cool, the west ones are more standard. Two of my team noticed a bad smell when they checked in. The second night it was really bad, so they finally found a large pile of dog poop just under the edge of the bed.
The previous renter was a slob to allow this, but to consider it was "Cleaned" for 2 days and the staff didnt vacumn under edge of bed or smell the poop is riduculous.
More ridiculous was that when they called office they said they couldn't do anything about it for awhile and it was a couple hours before they got to it and picked it up. Still didnt wash or spray anything. I just cant recommend this with the average rooms and poor unapologetic customer service.

This is the first time that we stayed in the "old" section of the La Qunita. Only availability when you need two beds for four adults. Queen size beds are the preference and not double beds. The carpet was old/spotted and patched. The adjoining neighbors were not considerate of other guest, talking on the balcony at 3:00 AM.
My son and his wife were in the silo section, and had to call the front desk as there were kids running up and down the halls at 3:00 AM. We have stayed here numerous times, but this time we were disappointed. Additionally, our room was continually stocked with three bath towels. Daily, we had to request an additional towel. If we require space for four, no I would not make a reservation here again.

Convenient, off the Interstate 5 and very close to the 405, is a Most unique inn in "Old Irvine," the LQ Spectrum was a turn of the century lima bean and grain silo. The "silo" rooms are carved out of the solid concrete and in the round of the actual original silo. The original processing bldg. still exists and contains a great eatery and bar. A must see and close to beach cities.

Do not let them put you in the back building. The room I am in sits twenty feet from the railroad tracks and it's like something out of a bad movie--the room shakes, the horn blares, and the trains come through every half an hour to forty-five minutes all night long. The bed was also old--the middle was really sunken in. The room was nice, big, though old and in need of some updating.

I won't come back.
