Location: The address is on Von Karman, but there is no way into the hotel from Von Karman! Access is from Morse, despite what Mapquest says. Business area, meaning no street parking, no shopping within walking distance.
24-hour fitness room, well maintained. 17-hour access to a large swimming pool, indoor, but with an outdoor sunbathing patio. Great for keeping in shape.
Friendly, excellent service at the desk and in the breakfast room. Dinner was delicious, limited menu, a bit pricey.
Room clean, medium size, well furnished. Work table is a welcome feature.
We were attending a convention, and parking was discounted to $6.

“Would have been better with good shuttle service”

Crown plaza in Irvine CA. Orange County.
Love the hotel. Very accommodating. Nice location. Rooms are adaquite. Free wifi is excellent. King bed was very comfortable and room was spotless. Walls are a little thin - could hear babies crying very easily all night. (No big deal these things happen).

Shuttle service - Terrible. Waited 50 min for airport pickup... Called as directed as soon as my plane landed. They said each time I called it would be 10 min. Called 3 separate times. Once picked up the driver was very nice and helpful as well. I was told by the desk that when leaving the shuttle service would be much easier. Simply come down and tell the desk and the shuttle would take me over. Apparently this is not the case. The shuttle runs once and HOUR?! Wtf? I got to the lobby at 5 after which means I need to wait another... That's right 55 min before the next trip.

This might seem picky since the airport is only a 10$ cab ride away but really... If you provide a service provide it well.

Dear Kayaker01,

Thank you for your review. I would like to start by apologizing for your experience with our shuttle service. I will be sharing your feedback with my Guest Services team and Shuttle Drivers. As your experience clearly shows, we have a problem in this area and we'll take appropriate action to fix this. As for how the shuttle service should work - we do provide complimentary shuttle to / from John Wayne Airport. For guests flying in, we ask that they contact the hotel once they arrive and a shuttle will then be dispatched. This should never take more than 15-20 minutes and typically only takes 5-10 minutes. We clearly failed to meet expectations on this. For guests departing the hotel, we offer service every 30 minutes - at the top and bottom of each hour. Again, we seemed to have missed expectations here.

As I mentioned, I'll be discussing this with my team and reiterating what our standards and expectations are.

“Budget hotel in shiny OC”

This is a decent budget property close to the SNA airport. It's light on amenities, like dining, but the staff is professional and attentive. The rooms are old style, with very little evidence of recent upgrades anywhere. The TV was an old tube TV, the bathroom fixtures were clean but older. Service was ok - they missed housekeeping service on one of the three days I stayed. There is not much within walking distance, but then again, everything in OC is car-oriented. Good for a quick trip in and out of OC, near the airport and convenient to freeways.

Should you find yourself back in the area, please be sure to ask our desk staff about all of the restaurants located within a short walk from the hotel. “A stay to remember”

What an amazing experience. From check in to check out it was truly a memorable stay. The suite we had was gorgeous. Floor to ceiling windows. Well worth the upgrade! The lounge and the bartenders were friendly and the food was great.

We will certainly be back!

Thank you for the amazing review. The hotel has 17 of the Deluxe King (suites) guest rooms so there are usually upgrades to be had at a minimal cost. As you mentioned, these rooms are great and offer a lot more space and amenities than our standard rooms. I appreciate your comments about the bar as well. “Comfortable Room/Good location to airport”

The rooms were comfortable. The shuttle to/from airport and to locations within I believe a 3-mile radius was very nice. Drivers were friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again if we fly in/out of Orange County.
