I was there for a full week. The staff was very helpful and they provide free shuttle services to and from the hotel from SNA airport as well as anywhere within about 5 miles! If you like to walk about a mile or take a 2 min shuttle ride, the Irvine Spectrum Center has a lot of really good restaurants and shops as well as entertainment including a theatre, improv and a ferris wheel.

Recently stayed at the Doubletree Irvine Spectrum for a business meeting. The hotel itself is nothing remarkable - positive or negative. Rooms are clean, comfortable. Mediocre breakfast buffet in the morning. Location very convenient.

Staff was extremely nice and helpful.

When I tried to schedule a return visit in Dec, AAA rate was not available. Literally the only Hilton property in the area that wouldn't offer. Disappointing!

This hotel meets the standards of the DT brand, with clean rooms and superior service. Overall enjoyed my stay here. My only frustration was the internet in the business center. Not sure why they even have computers in there as the internet doesn't work, or when it does work is extremelly slow!
Still, an excellent place to stay!

I liked the free parking offered at the Doubletree as most hotels these days in large metropolitan areas seem to have a parking fee to park on the premises.

The hotel itself and the room we stayed in was clean. The bed was in our room was comfortable and the layout of the room was good. The staff friendliness and service provided was okay. It could have been a whole lot better. No one was rude or anything like that, they just didn't wow you or do anything beyond their basic duties. We've had better service at other large chain hotels.

We also liked the easy freeway access and ease of travel to other tourist attractions within both Irvine and other attractions in Orange County.

We ate breakfast once at this hotel's onsite restaurant and we were not impressed. It is buffet style and overpriced. The bacon and sausage were too salty tasting for my liking. The French toast was dry. The coffee was okay and the orange juice too sweet. The fruit was the best thing to eat.
