we stayed two nights for a family affair in Irvine. The hosts had arranged a block rate, so was very reasonable, but I believe the regular weekend is comparable. It was about 10.00/day for self parking. the lot was very full and we had to park far. Check-in was very fast and the staff was helpful and readily available at the front desk. The area is very commercial and spread out, nothing you can walk to. Did not bring laptop because wifi was $20 a day. I resented the charges for wifi and parking, but it is in a densely populated business area. The room was nice and well set up for business travelers with a nice desk. I liked the lobby, lots of seating area where we could sit with our family. Had breakfast at the buffet, expensive but very upscale offerings with many choices at the omelette bar and we also could order french toast or pancakes or eggs served, also lots of fruits. Our room was on the 12th floor facing the freeway, but we were not bothered by noise.

stayed here 4 days and they charged me 60$ for wifi on my laptob in my room.apparently when the rooms are 259 a night they cant comp you internet!!Also I ate at the sushi place and it wasnt all that great.I think there sushimi is frozen not fresh

I stayed here recently for a business trip. This hotel is near the airport and highway, but not too near to be noisy. The rooms are in good condition. The service was excellent (the hotel felt overstaffed almost). My fellow traveler mentioned there was no free wi-fi; also there is no comp breakfast. The lobby is a nice schmoozing place with comfortable seating, a bar and sushi restaurant. This hotel has a lot of conference rooms and was quite busy catering to this while we were there. I would stay here again if visiting on business.

This is a lovely Marriott. Which is to say staff are friendly, the rooms are exceptionally clean and functional, and everything works. And then there's the freeway...

Arrival to the self parking lot at night was confusing - had I taken a wrong turn? The lot is dark, not intuitive and requires parking long way from the lobby. You also pass a vintage pond which no self-respecting goldfish would call home. But all is forgiven with a wave from the extremely friendly bell hop and check-in staff.

Check-in was fast and efficient. And I was quickly up to my room which was the expected excellent Marriott standards. Marriott seems to have completely done away with the green floral polyester decor thesedays which is a wonderful thing. Housekeeping was perfection as always. I had a corner room, so went to throw open the curtains which revealed the mega 405 freeway that would accompany my stay. It really looms large, so if you are a light sleeper, be sure to tell the front desk.

Overall a lovely hotel with a flaw that simply can't be fixed.
