“over-priced and non-negotiable”

Charged $170/night mid week, off season, and when found a more accommodating alternative, were refused a refund. Room for 2 adults had no fireplace, no bath tub, no couch or living room, no kitchen, and the facility provided no hot tub. Web site indicated a Thai restaurant and even offed a complimentary glass of wine at said restaurant, but upon checking in, the restaurant had closed down, and we were offed to drive several miles offsite for the complimentary wine.

“excellant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2010

We traveled to Tomales Bay Resort for a 4 day vacation. The Staff were very friendly, accomadating. and knowledgable of the surrounding territory. Our room was next to the Bay where we saw wonderful sunrise and sets from the pier. Close to all hiking area's within the Point Reyes National Park.
Room was basic but clean. The T.V. was old and the reception was sometimes fuzzy. This area of the hotel has not been remodeled.
We would definately stay here on our next trip to the Park.

“Rude, poor, customer service, and charged me for cancelling!”

I had made a reservation based on where the staff member told me the location was. It was nowhere near what she had said! This place is in the BOONDOCKS. When I cancelled my reservation, they charged me, even though I did not stay there. They were rude, and the owner hung up on me when I told him I was going to give a review!!

this is an older property mostly renovated, clean, quiet and relaxing. Not upscale but a great value. $106.00 for a queen bed on a week night. Next trip[soon] will try room with kitchen and patio for a multi-nite stay. Thai restaurant on site, good food, good value! Oyster farms[some with barbeques], fresh seafood close by. Pt. Reyes seashore and lighthouse close by...

“Least expensive for this area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2009

We stayed in Driftwood Room #16. The room had one queen bed and a small bathroom with shower. The bed was comfortable and the electric baseboard heat kept the room cozy. The room was clean and basic. The only negative is that there is very little soundproofing between rooms, so we heard voices coming from the neighboring units as well as front doors opening/closing. We also heard the water running (shower, toilet) in the adjacent unit. We were lucky that the neighboring guests on both sides of us were fairly quiet and considerate.

We had our kayaks with us and were able to easily launch them into Tomales Bay from the small beach that was just steps from our room.

After reading the negative reviews we were pleasantly surprised. The Driftwood room is a basic no-frills room but it suited us because we only wanted to stay one night and didn't want to spend more than $130.
