The older man at the front desk, probably the owner, was very nice. I noticed by the office a room door had about 10 pairs of shoes by the door. I imagine it's family owned. Anyway, he was very sure to make sure I was the only one staying in the room. The area is not nice and I thinking that hookers are in area. Any how, the room was clean and only had bare necessaties. I took off to drive around town all evening instead of sitting in the barren room. It is not a place to stay other than to crash for a few hours of sleep. Nice guy at the desk, clean room, but not a place to chill.

Th area is not very safe; for our first day at the motel a couple of prostitutes were knocking at each guest's door around 2 am. The accesss to the rooms is no restricted to guests only...

We arrived at this hotel in the evening, the area is very shabby and we were approached for money by a beggar as soon as we arrived. We didnt feel at all safe and were worried about the car being parked out front. The room has no soundproofing and the people next door partied til 3am, the carpet in the room was so dirty that we had to throw away our socks after walking on it for 5 mins. On the plus side the bed was clean and comfortable and there was a small fridge and microwave. If you want to be close to LAX stay a few miles further away in the Furama, its cheap and it feels a lot safer

First I want to point out, that the Rodeway Inn at Inglewood could be a very nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and outstanding spacious. The location is great for a trip to Los Angeles.
But it looked as if the reception staff is not really doing it´s best to make the stay as pleasant as possible for their customers. The staff, we met first, didn´t make a well-groomed expression, so that we first thought, that the rooms would be greasy - fortunately they were absolutely ok.
Nobody told us, that there was free continental breakfast - we found it out by chance on our last morning. There was a coffee maker in the lobby, containing coffee-powder and water.But we had to switch it on by yourself. As the mashine was filled with coffee-powder and water for 12 cups, it lasted at least 20 minutes, before the coffee was ready. If you had some "Sherlock Holmes-talent" you might have even found the dougnuts in a box.
