There are so many good things to say about the Creekstone. Every staff person we met was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The lobby/lounge area has so many places to sit and read, there is a pool table, a full kitchen for guests to use, etc. We stayed in the Winter room, which was pretty nice on the surface. The fireplace was a cool option. They give you a duraflame log to use, but even with a window open the logs don't burn well for more than 20-30 minutes. The bathroom was huge with a jacuzzi tub, which was also fun to have. There was a small TV and DVD player and my wife was happy that they left a little dish of Hershey's kisses. Its a pretty short walk to Cafe Aroma and is directly across from Creek House, but a much longer walk into the rest of town.

Two things I didn't like. Getting a jacuzzi tub means you don't get a shower. I get that. However, the jacuzzi tub has a shower head that you could use as sort of a shower. The problem is that there is a giant chandelier-ish thing that keeps you from being able to stand if you are over 5'3". Kind of annoying, but not a big deal.

The bed was a major issue. It was soooooo hard that we barely got any sleep either night. And on the first night, the headboard wouldn't stop squeaking. Now, get your mind out of the gutter, it wasn't what you were thinking. While trying to sleep on the hard, we moved a lot into different sleeping positions. No matter how little you moved it squeaked like crazy and kept us awake. The next day I hand-tightened some of the bolts holding the headboard in place, which helped that part of the problem, but still barely slept. I think there should probably be a furniture update in some places. One of the chairs in the room has many stains on it, which is kind of gross.

Again, its hard to give the place a bad review since everything besides the sleeping part is great, but that's a pretty important part.

We stayed here to celebrate an anniversary and what a nice time we had!! We stayed mid-week and ended up being the only ones in the building, which made for a really nice, quiet stay.

We stayed in the Wildlife room, which featured a king-sized bed, a really nice window seat and a jacuzzi. There is also a little "patio" area off the upstairs that is private and was a nice place to have a glass of wine, enjoy the outdoors and relax before going out to dinner. Our room featured two arm chairs, an armoire with iron and the tv. We were able to check out the other rooms in the Inn and I really loved the Spring room(very bright and airy!) and the Winter room(this one was super elegant and looked more high-end than any other room).

The downstairs features a pool table, a large "family room" style area with couches, tables/chairs, board games, books, a fireplace, a "business center" and the office staffed by the proprietors, who are happy to give suggestions for dinner and recreational activities. There is also a kitchen downstairs to which guests have full-access.

The day we were leaving, a deep cleaning was planned, but nothing honestly looked like it needed it. The carpets were thoroughly scrubbed and all of the uphostery was cleaned, which is nice to know!

It was a very romantic, relaxing place to stay.

Recently stayed at Creekstone Inn, on June 2, 2009. I was to make a presentation to the
local Rotary Club on the next morning. Our hosts, Charles & Kay Wix were awesome.
Not only did they select our lodging for the night, the manager was soo nice to my
husband and I. We immediately felt at home and cozy comfortable!!

As we entered our guest room, the ambieance was peaceful, thrilling and comforting all at the same time. We are looking forward to our next visit to Idyllwild and the beautiful Creekstone Inn.
