We just got back from our stay in the Azalea Creek cabin. The place was ample sized with two fairly large bedrooms and an open kitchen/family room. Everything was very clean and nice. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of items. The large, sectional couch in the family room was very comfortable and there was a long table that easily accommodated 8 or more. Across the driveway is a detached guest house that you could have for additional rent, but since we were a small party, we didn't need it.
But the best thing was the location. We sat right on Tahquitz Creek and the view was really lovely. Our neighbors were well hidden by trees, so it felt very private. The cabin has lots of windows, so it really takes advantage of the view. It's about a 2 mile walk into town, so it may or may not be walkable, depending on your level of fitness.
The only drawback was the Wi-fi internet was not working (wi-fi being one of the reasons we chose the cabin.) I know this happens everywhere, but we spoke to the proprietors a few times about this and they never even offered to come up and look at it. Even if there was nothing they could do, I think they should have made the effort. Since my husband and I had a little work we needed to get done during the week, they suggested we go into town and use the wi-fi at one of the cafes. Not a very workable suggestion since I don't think any business wants you to take up one of their tables for a few hours so you can work.
Wi-fi aside, we had a great trip. The main office offers DVD, games and sleds for you to borrow and firewood to purchase.
We would definitely recommend this cabin.
