This is a great place if you want a well appointed and convenient place to spend a night or two out of the city, but don't want to do the whole "woods" experience. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with everything you will need just add dining out and perhaps a trip to the local grocery. The inn is located close to the center of town and near a trailer park and also a very popular camping ground. So it is not the place to go if you want to feel like you are all alone in the woods, but it is off the main road enough for plenty of Jays and Squirrels and a good nights sleep.

I'll keep this short, my wife and I decided on a friday afternoon we wanted to take off for the weekend. This was the first place I called, the gentleman on the phone was very friendly, informative and said he had a great spot for us and told me which cabin it was. I made the booking and headed up there from LA. It was in early April and we got caught in snow on the way up so by the time we arrived it was a little later in the evening and well past dark. We found our cabin which was warm for us (the heat had been on), there were some fire logs, our key was right there on the counter, coffee, magazines etc and the barn which was about 100 yds away has a pretty good selection of movies. The snow gave the place a magical winter wonderland feel as we were right by a small creek and the cabin had a very quaint and cosy feel to it. We really enjoyed it, no problems and no hassles whatsoever. Extra firelogs were there waiting for us when we returned from dinner on our second evening. Thumbs up from us, we will be back!

This was our second trip to Quiet Creek Inn. We went back in early 2009 and enjoyed it so much we decided to go back. The cabin we stayed in is a duplex but several of them have multiple rooms and are rented out as a unit. Our room had a microwave, most kitchen utensils, and a refrigerator so it's easy to bring along food to eat in your room....or better yet to eat out on the deck. I love sitting out on the deck watching the squirrels and birds bounce around the trees.
There is a pretty big DVD library to borrow from, a computer with Internet access that you can use, coffee, tea and microwave popcorn--all for free!
There is a little creek that runs behind the property that is very relaxing to sit by. During our first visit we sat in the chairs along the creek quite a bit, but this time the grass/weeds were so high that I was scared of getting poison oak/ivy.
My only complaints are that our toilet overflowed on us both times (we stayed in the same room so maybe it's an issue with that specific cabin?) and the grass was too high for me to feel comfortable walking to the creek on our 2nd visit. Otherwise it's a great place: the owners are nice, it's really quiet and relaxing (deck, creek) and it's reasonably priced.

We travel up to Idyllwild regularly, just to get away from it all in San Diego. Each time, we've tried a different place to stay. Well this time, with the Quiet Creek Inn, we've found our home away from home. From now on, we book only with them!!

The cabins are clean, stylishly decorated and enveloped by forest all around. Our cabin (#10) has a small kitchenette with burners, small fridge, microwave, coffee pot, dishes and cooking utensils, pots/pans, etc. The bedroom, bathroom and living room all have their own temperature control. Two Duraflame logs come with the deal too, each night. We had a cozy fire, great meals in town, and it even snowed (in April no less!) so our son had the chance to play in snow. (Nirvana for any 7 year old.!)

Jim was fantastic, and they have a lending library of DVDs, free popcorn and hot chocolate AND Tazo tea, that you can take back to your cabin. They also give you a fantastic sheet of restaurant recommendation. Each restaurant we went to was a home run. We saw more on this trip than we had on all previous trips, just because the information they give out is so helpful and complete.

I cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you Quiet Creek Inn! We'll be back!
