We rented Blue Jay II after much internet research. The cabin was delightful. The
kitchen was competely stocked, even very nice wine glasses. When we arrived, I was greeted by the family dog. I imediately loved the place, then Pam came in and checked me in. She was a gracious hostess. Meanwhile, my husband was in the car and Larry came to visit. He was also a delightful host. We both felt good about the place before we saw our cabin. We had a BBQ and fixed steaks the second night. I would recommend this place to anyone. We want to go back in September.

We stayed here for a long weekend in June with plans to take some long hikes. Check in was painless and our unit was ready. I was a little concerned that the Blue Jay room was closest to the road, but noise was not a problem. This is a perfect base for outdoor activities. With the small kitchen, which was well-equipped, we were able to have early breakfasts and get on the trail. In the afternoons we relaxed in our quiet unit and read, used the internet, napped and watched movies we borrowed from the office. The Fireside Inn is within walking distance of the center of town, market, and also some of the restaurants slightly up the hill from there. The air conditioning was a big plus as it was pretty warm when we were there. There were a couple chairs and small table in a private side yard out the back door of the unit, but it would have taken some cleaning to be able to use it. Everything inside was very clean. They do not offer daily maid service, but we did not find it necessary. You could exchange your towels for clean ones at the office. There seemed to always be someone available in the office for any needs. We would definitely stay here again.

Disliked: Bed could be better. The mattress set probably needs to be replaced as it was soft and somewhat sagging in the middle. Also I don't care for scented softener in the sheets and towels.

We appreciated being able to view cabins and cottages online. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Everything is as clean as a whistle and it is QUIET! even though we are close to the road. We would not hesitate coming up to stay here again, and recommend it to friends. Restaurants are within walking distance, and for 2 old timers who need to exercise every day, that's a plus.

We were pleasantly surprised with our cabin. It was very clean and cozy and the service was amazing. The sheets and towels smelled so fresh and clean. It is one of the only places where we actually slept under the covers (we usually bring our own blankets). Even the fridge was immaculate and all the dishes (which are provided for you along with pits and pans,a toaster,and coffee maker) were spotless. Truly the cleanest place we have ever stayed without the smell of bleach and Lysol. Bonus, they have a large selection of movies to borrow and a tv w/DVD to play them on. Such homey service and comfort. Made our last minute vacation very special. We will be long time customers.
