I stayed at this hotel on Christmas night 2010. From the outside it looked clean and tidy. The first thing I noticed when I got inside was that there was hair in the sink. I looked in the bathroom and there was also hairs in the shower. I like a firm matress but the mattress in my room was like sleeping on a concrete slab and the pillows were awful. To make matters worse, I believe that there were bedbugs in the room because when I woke up in the morning my ankles and wrists were covered with small bites. I'm sure that some of them hitched a ride on my luggage as a few weeks after my stay, I started noticing that something was now biting me at home, which has never happened before. I complained about the cleanliness of my room to the manager, who really didn't seem to care. All he was concerned about was collecting the payment for my stay. As I paid cash, he had to "inspect" my room before I was allowed to leave. Maybe he should have done that before I checked in because my room was nasty. Next time I think I'll stay at a Motel 6. It might be just as nasty but it'll be $40.00 a night cheaper. This is the worst Howard Johnson's I've ever had the "pleasure" to stay at and will NEVER stay there again. Oh and did I mention the parking lot party at 3:00 AM. I called the desk to complain, but they didn't answer...ICK!
