We needed a hotel for two days while our house was being fumigated. We chose Holiday Inn Express because of the free parking and proximity to our house. The hotel is on a busy street (Pacific Coast Highway) so we requested a quiet room on the third floor facing the parking lot. The room and bathroom were modern and large with a microwave and refrigerator. The bedding and furniture was spotless. We had a king room which had a large chair and ottoman with a reading light where I spent several hours reading and watching TV during the day.
The front desk staff (Cesar, in particular) was welcoming, friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was in a very nice room with a television. There was a good selection of food (pancakes, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, cinammon rolls, yogurt, breads, etc.) and the server kept the tables clean.
For a real ocean view (for a tourist visit), you'd have to pay a lot more money to stay on the beach. While this hotel does have distant ocean views, it is not a resort hotel where you will spend time on a balcony. For a budget tourist hotel, it will work well because you are close to the beaches and you'll spend most of your time outside rather than looking out the window.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for family or business travelers..

Thank you for the sincere review. We are happy that you chose to stay at our hotel while your house was being fumigated. We do our best to keep the facility clean with the best maintenance. All of our furniture pieces are new and we are glad you enjoyed reading and watching TV on the lounge chair. Cesar has been a long time staff with us and his friendly and helpful attitude are why we appreciate having him here. We are more than glad to accommodate any of your friends and family members for their visit to town.
