We stayed for 5 nights in late January and early February. The hotel looks like it has been recently renovated with modern decor. The rooms are very spacious and include a microwave, bar fridge and coffee making facilities (not helpful for those of us who drink tea not coffee - an electric kettle would be useful!) The bathroom is small but this was never an issue - it is fresh and clean with a complimentary supply of toiletries, towels and a hairdryer.
The facilities are very clean and serviced daily. There is a small sunny balcony that faces the ocean although as we were on the first floor our view was of a rooftop...the ocean views must only be from the higher levels.
The reception for this hotel is on the first floor, not at ground level. There is an elevator as well as a luggage trolley for guest use.
If you have your own car during your stay please be aware that parking is limited in the undercover carpark and street parking is also limited. We came back late-ish (after 9pm) each night and there were no car spaces left in the hotel car park. On our last two mornings we got parking tickets for parking incorrectly on the street.
The hotel is in a good location - easy walk to the restaurants and shops in Hermosa Beach or to take a stroll (or run) along the beachfront.
