“Horrible Family Experience”

We came here for my Uncle's memorial service who's passed. This place is a horrible dump. There bathrooms are very tiny. The rooms are okay but the floors are disgusting and the beds are terribly uncomfortable. They have cable with about 3 stations. the air conditioner shuts off every two minutes and turns on every five. You cant get sleep because the air conditioner is so LOUD!! Its a bad neighbor hood and a disgrace to all hotels. The maids were supposed to come because we were gone from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm and they never came even though they were supposed too. This place smells, the towels smell like sour and an ash tray and the shampoo and bars of soap they give smell 50 years rotten. Something your grandparents would use. The showers barely work and the service is awful. The only thing that is okay is there very slow wi-fi. You must ask for that in the lobby. The fridge barely works and doesn't keep anything cold. Our relatives stayed here next to us and they thought it was so terrible they left! The pool is under construction that was supposed to be done with 4 weeks ago. . . There soda machine is $1.50 for a small soda. I would much rather stay in the Budget Motel next door. I know Budget motel but this how awful this place is. TERRIBLE! Don't come! Its a disgrace.

Room Tip: Ask for one if your so desperate to come here the ones upstairs.

“Just a room and place to sleep!”

It was a comfortable room and easily accessible. The check in was smooth but there is NO breakfast at all! No Coffee in the lobby either! Laundry was good but my truck had fuel stolen out of it one of the nights I stayed there. I parked directly under the security camera.
The room was clean and comfortable and I guess because of the area the value and amenities are scarce. i would stay if I had to but would definitely try to book eralier and find alternate accomodations.
Next door to stores and restaurants makes it convenient as well. I stayed for the rewards promotion. Would need more incentive to do it again.

“Horror in Hemet”

This is my second review ever. My first was a hotel in Arizona and very positive. I have traveled for many years and never stayed in a more disgusting place in my life than this motel. The room stunk. The carpet and bedspreads were filthy. There were years of stains on the floor and walls. The room smelled of stale smoke and pet dander. It was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The pet smell was so prevalent, I was uncomfortable all night. The AC in the room sounded like a 747 and even though it was set at the lowest setting went on and off all night. The pool - which is one of the only reasons I stayed here and paid $99 a night was CLOSED through my entire stay because it had to be "shocked" back to health from prior contamination. I could go on and on but here is the net-net - I felt like a crime victim after my stay at this motel. I thought Best Western being a national chain would have better standards.

“Grimy & Dated Overall; Beds Like Boards”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 June 2011

Hotel needs to be updated! It is a Motel 6 in disguise as a Best Western. It is low end, compared with other Best Westerns I've stayed at, and that is with the understanding that Best Westerns are generally basic hotels or a step or so up from basic, at best. The staff was nice and accommodating. However, the room was OLD and not very clean. I was in a non-smoking room. It smelled yucky, kind of a mixture of dirty and musty and a little smoky too.

The carpets had layers of visible dust along the walls and between furniture that are very noticeable. I guess they don't move anything when they vacuum! I pulled out a table to get at an outlet and there was a cushion of dirt/dust there along with a few dead bugs. Bathroom had several large mold stains. The beds were like logs-- not comfortable unless you enjoy sleeping on flat surfaces.

There was a kitchenette in the room, which is a great little bonus. If the room overall was cleaner, I might have even considered cooking there. This property needs an update. There are many other choices of quality hotels at nearly the same price. I won't return to this property.

“BEWARE!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2010

I reserved a room at the Hemet Best Western, Room 107 on June 5, 2010. Upon arrival I noticed that the carpet was black with dirt and stains. This did not bother me as much as the cockroach that I found on my pillow when I removed the bedspread. When I approached the desk attendant he was not even apologetic about my fate, just asked if I wanted another room. Of course, I didn't want another room, if one room had roaches I presumed most all of the rooms would. There was no apology for the room or an offer of a discount. Then when going into the bathroom (which is the size of a closet), the paint was peeling off the walls. I have stayed in this hotel at least twice a year for the last six years.

I will never stay there again, and I advise everyone to do the same.
