Ok, well I do have a few more things to add. We called and asked for an early check-in and were told “no problem” but when we got there the front desk was annoyed with us and said she would have to have a talk with the person who promised us this. So we asked if we could at least leave our bags, change into our suits and hang out at the pool. Reluctantly she said ok but once we got to the pool we understood. Pools looked as if they had not been cleaned in weeks with debris all around and the hot tub was closed. Ok, my husband being the kind of guy he is picks up the net and skims the pool his self. About the time he is finished our room is ready. This is where the real fun began! If you have ever spent time in the high desert during the summer you know it can easily hit 110 degrees in the afternoon, which is what our room felt like when we walked in. Ok, maybe the refrigeration just needed to be turned on for a while to cool the room down. No luck, after two hours it was still over 85 degrees and miserable inside. We jumped in our car and headed out to the only other lodging we could see in the area (Silver Lakes Vacation Club), immediately we went back to the Inn at Silver Lakes and checked out. I was concerned because the front desk would not give me a receipt showing no charges since we could not stay in a room with no air but it has been a three weeks now and our credit card has not been charged (whoo-hoo, one plus here). Again, until this place takes care of a few things I would avoid at all costs.
