“Refreshing Hotel with World Class Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

This hotel is beautiful, "green", stylish, & modern. The staff of this hotel are first-class in every way- especially the concierge, wow! There was live evening jazz in the bar. the included buffet breakfast was the most extensive I've seen with complimentary table service offered. The room was spacious with great amenities (FREE non-alcoholic mini bar complete with flat and sparkling water, glass shower without doors, concrete counter tops, GIANT soaking tub, spa toiletries, ). The HH has a beautiful heated pool and covered jaccuzzi with gorgeous landscaping. The spa was perfect in every way. The nearby wineries and shops located all around the HH were outstanding. The HH is one of my most recommended hotels.

“Good nights sleep but awkard room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

people found this review helpful

Pros:
Comfortable bed and bedding
Room very dark and very quiet at night. No street noise, no hallway noise, no other guests noise - so we slept very soundly here
Staff was welcoming and helpful
Breakfast provided (it better be at this price range right?)
Location is good

Cons:
This hotel is on gorgeous grounds but the interior decor is a very cold and I have to say ugly attempt at modern. The walls are pea soup green. The bathroom is grey concrete.
The shower spills water EVERYWHERE so that the entire bathroom is soaked when you are done. Our bathroom door did not close all the way so you had no privacy showering.
Ventilation in bathroom poor - shower fogged up mirrors and it took forever to unfog
Lighting in room was terrible for ladies - I could barely see to get my makeup on. It was very spotty track lighting and I felt like I was going blind in there
TV was pretty small and remote didn't work well (for some reason lots of people have posted this?)
Wi-Fi is "free" but did not work in our room
Breakfast is only a "go and get it yourself" continental type of deal which was annoying to have to troop downstairs when you are trying to get moving for the day or to make an early flight

Overall: For the > $300 a night I would NEVER stay here again. The hotel was just off-putting and so cold feeling in decor (re: not tranquil - I felt like I was in jail) and the room was miserable to function in with the lousy lighting, lack of working technology and lack of delivered breakfast. I was impressed with the soundproofing of the hotel. I would love to see it under new ownership and to see someone else decorate it in a beautiful warm contemporary style and address the major issues in the bathroom and bring breakfast to the room. Then I think I would consider returning but for now this hotel looks like it was decorated by an HGTV design failure and had poor amenities for the price.

Room Tip: Hotel was very quiet but prepare for a the flood in the bathroom from the shower!

“Sonoma Wine Road Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

Just spent 3 nights at Hotel Healdsburg. It could not have been better. The rooms were great. The staff was phenomenal. They were knowledgeable and very helpful. Teaghan the concierge was super - when we said Pinot Noir - she knew 8 wineries off the top of her head. From the minute you walk in the staff is right there to make your trip fabulous. Check out Wine Road, they make tastings easy and fun with their events.
This hotel's location could not be better. The town has over 15 tasting rooms, all steps away from this hotel's location.

Room Tip: we paid a little more for a small suite, but make sure you ask for the larger suites (over by 315...

“Great Stay and recharge for 2012!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

I love this hotel! The rooms are sophisticated, well-appointed and so comfortable. I love the big bathtub and the bed is to die for. I also love the very ample breakfast. I was especially excited that on my recent visit they had a wellness weekend. We took advantage of the Sunday bootcamp at the Quivara winery. It was wonderful. The instructor from Live Fit was great -- very thorough and the workout was lots of fun. The setting was beautiful and it was a great way to recharge for the new year. The best part -- the included wine tasting and cheese platter afterward. Somewhat defeats the purpose of the workout but who cares... I highly recommend Hotel Healdsburg.

“A little slice of heaven in Healdsburg”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

I'll be very honest and state upfront that this was our first get away post baby. We even had the guts to bring the baby with us. Crazy, I know.

The hotel was wonderful and very accommodating, even providing a pack 'n play for the room. Of course the abject looks of horror on people's faces as we passed them in the hall did damper our excitement. For the record, there were two other infants at the hotel the same nights, so we weren't the only crazy ones. :-)

This was our second visit to the hotel. Rooms are nicely appointed. Linens and mattress are comfortable. Breakfast is included (you're certainly paying for it, but still a nice perk), and while it's a buffet, it's pretty extensive. Options were yogurt, freest fruit, toast, muffins, bagels, lox and condiments, eggs, sausage, juice, tea, and coffee. The lady who was bussing tables was fabulous! She was so busy taking care of everyone, cleaning tables, and was so sweet making sure everyone was happy!

You MUST get a room with a soaking tub. It can fit both of you and it's heavenly. It's absolutely worth the extra $. I love the tiles and poured concrete sounders. I do not love the fact that the shower has no door... Water really got all over the floor.

Room Tip: Make sure to get a room with soaker tub.
