We needed a layover hotel before boarding a cruise ship in Long Beach on Sunday, 01/08/12. I wanted to spend money on the cruise, not on the pre-cruise hotel. I subscribe to Marriott E-Breaks weekly emails and this hotel came up with a great rate for us ($87 for three adults). It's just south of LAX, near the 405 freeway, with on-site free parking, a good breakfast buffet, and large rooms.

We arrived early and were given our room without hassle. The room was clean and had a large flat-screen TV. The beds were perfect for us. The desk clerk knew the area and suggested local businesses. We decided to visit the Santa Monica Pier that night. It was about a 30 minute drive. The hotel was also an easy 30 minute drive to Long Beach.

This was just a great pre-cruise deal for a hotel that gave us more then we paid for.

We (2 parents with 3 teenage kids) stayed in a suite for a night on the way to San Diego as a rest stop. The suite came with a sofa bed and 2 queens and free breakfast for 5 of us for $105 total. The room was very clean and accommodating. The front desk staff was very helpful and polite. .

This hotel is conveniently located just minutes from LAX airport, reasonable rates, free parking, close to restaurants, shopping mall, Costco and LA's best beaches. Other attractions such as Disneyland, Universal Studios, Staples Center are within 30 minutes. With no parking fees and vallet, the money saved can be used for the rental car and drive all over LA.

In the end of this summer we stayed over a week with kids, while waiting our house to be ready. I was surprised positively that the hotel was really clean and quite. The room we had was big enough for 2+2 kids. Front desk was friendly and ok (not a super-pro thou).
The location is practical (near airport, easy access to beach etc.) and there is lot of parking places. The pool + hot tub is located almost in the parking lot, which I didn't like, but my kids still loved it.
The only thing what was really disappointing was breakfast, even it's included the price. The staff was friendly, but selection was poor and coffee even worst. Also it was really busy at that time, so there was not enough tables in the lobby. And I'm little snobbish, but I hate plastic utensils :)
