We found it to be mostly delightful. The fishing was great. The resort is set off the highway, scenic setting in the trees and on the creek. Dog Friendly. The cabins are rustic, dated, but cute rustic. The floors were not real clean in either cabin, a dead, large scorpion in one, (better that a live sorpion, I suppose!), a dead millipede in the other. Proprieters: the husband is friendly and accomodating, the wife is the 'business' end of the operation, she's a bit surly, not the charming hostess we expected. The kitchens - nothing matched, but, the were very well stocked. High marks for the rustic, fishing cabin resort that it is. We had a delightful time; we will take the dog and will return there in summer of 2009.

This place was way overpriced for what we got: a two person rustic cabin, with a small bathroom and a functional kitchen. The "resort" is in the trees and seems dark even at mid-day. The owner was very friendly but seemingly suspicious of guests. They will allow you and yours pets if you can convince the owner that neither of you are going to destroy their cabins. We didn't try out the fishing, perhaps that is the real attraction of this place. If you have a tent and want to save $100, camp instead at the campground near Old Station. In Old Station is a laundromat, showers, store, and cafe (which closes early).
