My wife and I have been to the property around 10 or so times. I'm writing this review, to talk about our first time this last week bringing kids to the property, which worked out surprisingly well.

We have 3 boys - 7, 5, & 3. We've always marveled at people bringing kids to high end resorts and almost scoffed saying we'd never.

Last Saturday morning, we felt we needed to take a trip or do something with the kids. Opened my Marriott rewards and saw for 50K points, we could stay there. We took a leap of faith and pulled the trigger that morning and left for the hour drive by 2pm.

Best 50K points I've ever used. The staff was incredible, more so than the past even. Not sure if they changed management, but it was so top notch that it pushed me to write this post a week later. Gave kids gifts on arrival, gave us s'mores since we had a room with a fireplace. A bellman, Chris was exceptionally good.

Kids loved it - got a movie in the room, they got to have room service, walked to the beach a couple times, swam in the pool. It opened my eyes that you could have fun with kids at a nice resort. Thanks for helping me see that!

We stayed two nights with our German Shepard, Gabe, and all aspects were 5 star. The staff, location, rooms, cuisine and ambiance were fabulous. The management gave us a room upgrade because it was our 27th wedding anniversary. We have stayed at Ritz Carltons in Lake Tahoe, Washington DC and New Orleans, this one at Half Moon Bay is excellent.

We have stayed here, as a family and when I am on business on the west coast. It is an amazing place.

I won't ramble on about the rooms, or location. I would just strongly encourage you to go and experience the almost magical setting.

One of the last times we stayed there, a wedding was being held on the lawn that we could see from our room/club floor. It was like a movie.

When in this part of California,. stay here.

Unfortunately, we only stayed here one night in September 2011. I was traveling with my husband and 3 month old son. This hotel has an unbelievably beautiful setting on a cliff overlooking the beach. We don't play golf, but the course is supposedly good as well. I would love to come back here for a romantic weekend, especially when the weather is a little warmer. The beach here is private and gorgeous and clean, it was a bit too cold to swim though during our stay. At night they have bonfires going and many of the guests sit outside enjoying the views and a glass of wine before heading off to dinner.
