We stayed in these adorable cabins for 3 nights during our friends' wedding. The food was excellent, the pool clean, the river accessible and Guerneville was weird and cute with some excellent gems. We did not, however, realize there was such a variety in quality of the cabins, so make sure you find out whether you have booked a slightly pricer upscale cabin or more of a bare bones one. Either way the cabins are adorable albeit a bit chilly and the setting brings you back to camp; I highly recommend it for a wedding or a short visit in wine country.

Yes, they are cabins without TV/telephone, but that is exactly what we wanted. It was PERFECT. Very comfortable, clean cabins. (actually pretty large compared to some rooms, with a seating/fireplace area) We spent most time outside, wandering through the gardens picking fresh blackberries and apples from the orchard. Perfect WiFi, no issue there. Serene, beautiful, relaxing and not the "big resort" experience. We simply enjoyed dinner, on the upper terrace under the shadow of the ancient redwood trees. By the way, dinner was very good. (twice)

We look for pet-friendly properties when traveling, and this was our first stay at Dawn Ranch. We had a small cottage, wwhich offered just what we needed. No telephone or television, but WIFI access which was easy to link into. Accomodations were clean and comfortable. The property has river access, and is a short walk from downtown Guerneville. The cocktail lounge was open every afternoon and evening, allowing us to enjoy a refreshments without needing to drive. The restaurant is open five days per week. We dined there with family who liv e in town, and were impressed with the quality given to preparation of food from appetizers to full entrees. We would DEFINITELY stay at Dawn Ranch again!

My husband, two kids & I were here for a 4-night stay last week and we had a great time.

The grounds are really nice, and the location is good for getting to the coast or kayaking on the river.

The staff were really nice and helpful, especially Bonnie on the reception desk (the other receptionists looked bored and put out to do there job).

There aren't any coffee making facilities in the cabins, but they do offer a complimentary continental breakfast in the morning with loads of decent coffee, tea, orange juice and bagels.

The water pressure in the shower is decent, but the stall is small and the water smells a bit rusty (they do provided bottled water daily for drinking).

Would stay again if we were traveling in the area.
