The HIE is tricky to navigate to especially from the south. There are no laundry facilities and the breakfast is only fair - but the biscuits were very good. Eggs lousy. Bacon fair. Coffee fair. Free copies of USA Today. Very dangerous exit to crowded, curving street with a severe visibility problem. Best to leave via nearby steak house. Room had balcony. Noisy freeway and AM leaf blowing. Light on balcony shinning all night long - no switch. Lobby open 24/7. Desk staff unsmiling to curt. Love the Central Coast area. Near the beach. I think we'll look for a different spot next time we are in the area. Good internet and TV. Comfortable beds. Clean.

Pismo beach pier, dunes, and Shell beach are all within 5 minutes drive. This location is right off freeway. A little noisey at times. But you also have walking acess distance from several restaurents, grocery store, Walmart, Kmart, large strip mall and Outlet mall. Hotel was pretty nice. But that's what I expect from a Holiday Inn. Nothing special. But clean and rooms have small balconey. Overall an excellent central location in walking and very short drive of all the Central Coast beach citites have to offer.

We stopped here last week on our way up the coast. The gal at the front desk was moderately nice. Not friendly, but not rude. The room was great. Large and clean. The bathroom has a heat lamp light which is great for me and my cold nature. Parking was excellent. The bed was comfortable. We had a quick breakfast which was free and were on our way. The food was fresh and there was a great assortment. I would stay here again if in that area.

Welcoming and friendly staff. Unusual setting in that the lobby is a separate building from the rooms which were in two other buildings. Both had easy access to to parking lots. My concern would be getting to the breakfast during inclement weather. One would have to go out of the building to the lobby.
The room was clean with a fridge. The AC/Heat unit was difficult to figure out. Not the usual on/off, heat/cool switches. The TV picture was not good with a wave every so often that distorted the picture. Don't know if that was the cable or TV. Toilet seat was loose and the shower faucet was difficult of control. The hot/cold handle went completely around and there was no indication of which way was hot or cold and I had to let it run and experiment with the direction by feeling the water temp. The shower curtain was too short and allowed the water to splash out onto the bath floor. I reported this to the staff and they said the curtains were on back order.
Breakfast was good with an attendant keeping food bar well stocked. I liked the fact that the eating area was separated into two sections with one away from the TV sound.
